視框的改變:「米樂」國中羽球隊家長之經驗敘說

Abstract

筆者透過「米樂國中」羽球隊3位主要家長、5位次要家長,以及2位教練進行訪談,藉由敘說研究的方式告訴讀者,在現今社會氛圍之下,仍有一群帶著特殊毅力且執著盼望的家長,讓孩子走上競技運動一途。研究結果顯示,三個不同環境的家長,給予孩子的資源雖然不同,但卻有著共同的目標,其特點在於彼此間對於運動認知有所共鳴,他們跳脫出「萬般皆下品,惟有讀書高」的傳統觀念,對於體育人的刻板印象有所不同。筆者亦發現,家長藉由運動校隊改善孩子的個性,培養孩子強韌的受挫力及鬥志心,加上在校隊紀律的管理下,以及學校的課業輔導,使得選手學業成績名列前茅,讓家長對於米樂國中羽球隊有更深的認同及肯定。為了使孩子在羽球領域中有所突破,家長各盡其職的幫助孩子,進而協助米樂國中羽球隊排除一切困難,由原先扮演觀眾的角色,轉變為領導者。最後,筆者發現,羽球選手的背後一定有個支持他的家人,羽球從興趣轉變成自我專長,一路走來即使艱辛,但家長幫助孩子延續運動員之夢想從未停歇,並且希望未來能與孩子共同完成孩子的夢想,走出一條不一樣的升學之路。
By interviewing 8 relatives and 2 coaches of badminton player, from the Miller junior high school, the result shows some parents in this era still keep deep expectation for their kid to become outstanding athletes. Although having different resources, the understanding of the sport drive them to achieve excellence and to conquer the stereotype of the athletes’ world. Parents are willing to train fighting will and positive manner of their kid by sending them into the school team, by managing discipline and school work, parents will ultimately agree to the Miller junior high school badminton team. In order to make progress, the parents will do whatever they can to help the team to further educate their kid, which also make the parents transform their character from the spectators into the leader. The author concludes that a supporting parents is the key element of outstanding athletes, watching badminton becomes kid’s specialty is a harsh but a sweet path to dream come true, hopefully every young athletes can create a path of their desire.
