國小學童閱讀動機與閱讀行為之相關研究

Abstract

二十一世紀是以腦力決勝負的知識經濟時代,想要迅速累積知識、有效吸取他人研究成果的重要利器便是閱讀。近來研究發現閱讀動機是多元面向而特定領域的,與閱讀頻率與廣度等閱讀行為有關。本研究綜合閱讀動機與閱讀行為的相關文獻,以台北縣市五所國小五、六年級學童共457人為受試進行實徵研究,研究工具包括閱讀動機量表與閱讀行為調查表。研究結果顯示閱讀動機與閱讀行為間呈正相關,而女生的閱讀動機高於男生,其閱讀的頻率亦多於男生;女生較常閱讀文學、歷史地理與自然科學類,而男生閱讀趣味休閒書籍與手冊秘笈的頻率高於女生。五年級學生的閱讀動機與閱讀行為皆高於六年級。在閱讀動機上有社經地位的差異,高社經地位者的閱讀動機較低社經地位者強。本研究除進行討論外,並提出相關的建議。
The purpose of this study is to test the relationship between reading motivation and reading behaviors of children. The participants of this study were 457 elementary fifth-grade and sixth-grade students in Taipei City. Instruments used in this study were the motivations for reading questionnaire (MRQ) and the Reading Activity Inventory (RAI). The results showed that there were significant correlation between reading motivation and reading behavior, there are significant gender and grade differences of reading motivation and reading behavior.
