從音樂分析論「蘇打綠」的音樂特質

dc.description.abstract臺灣的獨立流行音樂(Indie Pop)自九〇年代末期興起以來逐漸發展壯大,至二〇〇〇年代中期已出現不少風格成熟、且能夠持續發展其演藝生涯的樂手,儼然已逐步成為主流唱片公司的威脅,可說是進入了此類音樂發展的豐收時期。此時期先後出現了如陳綺貞、張懸、蘇打綠等幾乎可與主流大廠相抗衡的獨立流行音樂歌手,原本以獨立流行音樂歌手,他們以獨特的歌聲與清新脫俗的創作風格在華語歌壇中樹立了高度識別性,不但擁有廣大的歌迷與驚人的銷售與獲獎成績,其受歡迎的程度甚至常常超越許多來自主流廠牌的歌手。他們以獨立流行音樂歌手之姿出道,卻能在各項表現上都超越主流流行音樂歌手,此一現象非常值得關注。關於前揭諸樂手目前實已有不少論文針對其各項層面、以包括傳播學、社會學、文學等學術領域之觀點提出相關研究,惟仍未見音樂理論領域以樂曲分析方法深入研究其音樂作品本身、並就分析結果提出討論之文獻。故本論文將以蘇打綠的音樂作品為研究主體,同時輔以陳綺貞、張懸等在形象、音樂風格、經營模式、歌迷認同⋯等諸多層面上頗具相似特質之樂手的音樂作品來加以比較,試以呈現、瞭解此一在華語流行音樂近年發展中令人難以忽視的音樂風格與其所引發的種種現象。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractSodagreen(蘇打綠), a notable Taiwanese pop singer-songwriters band, is one of the well-known and best-seller among the Mandarin pop music industry since they released their debut album in the late 2000s. Almost their every album and single stayed on top 10 of major charts in Mandarin pop music for weeks. They was also continuously nominated for best singer, best songwriter, best album at the Golden Melody Award and other honors and awards for pop music in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China for the past decade. Moreover, the tickets for their concert tour were instantly sold out almost right after the selling is just began, and surprisely, without any widespread advertising and promotion. Not to mention the number of views and CTR of their songs on YouTube. However, they are considered to be a non-mainstream pop singer who doesn’t attract that much of attention and generally doesn’t profit that much as they are doing now. And they are avoiding making both their music and their appearance to be too commercial; actually they left their record company in 2003 and after that they labeling themselves as an indie singer-songwriter band who produce, publish and sell the albums all by themselves. They themselves even packed and shipped the albums personally. Under such circumstances, how can their music still so popular even better than those mainstream singers who were under commercial manipulations? There might be multiple reasons from many aspects. The aim of this research will be focus on the core essence of the common characters of Sodagreen’s music as one of the most important elements which makes their career so successful. Main approaches will include analysis of musical text (melody, chords, form, lyrics... etc.), and, if possible, carry out survey by questionnaires or by interviewing with their fans.en_US
