探索台灣民眾政治效能感的源起:學校公民教育的解釋

dc.description.abstract | 在民眾的各項政治取向中,政治效能感(sense of political efficacy)可說是僅次於政黨認同,受到學者最多關注與研究的議題(Abramson, 1983: 183)。本研究的目的在於探討台灣民眾政治效能感的源起,研究者將從民眾接受不同時期的學校公民教育,以及公民教育的內涵兩方面切入,觀察民眾政治效能感的差異,研究者將時期方面分為威權與民主時期的學校公民教育;內涵方面則是區別為高中以上(含高中)以及國中以下,以此組合成公民教育四種類型的民眾。 在研究中發現,以學校公民教育的內涵效果觀之,教育程度愈高的民眾,政治效能感愈高;至於在公民教育的時期方面,接受威權時期公民教育的民眾,政治效能感比接受民主時期公民教育的民眾高;若以時期與內涵的交乘效果而言,接受民主時期公民教育且具高中以上教育程度的民眾,政治效能感較高。 進一步透過概似比卡方檢定(LR χ2 test),研究者發現加入學校公民教育的因素之後,不論是內外在效能感的檢定,皆會使模型的解釋力提高,足見公民教育在檢視民眾政治效能感時扮演重要源起的角色。而另外研究者也發現,在模型中,性別、政治練達、政治信任、政黨認同及族群認同等皆是重要的影響變項。 然而,研究者僅以初探性的研究出發,希望透過本研究的發現,使得相關研究學者更能關注教育因素與民眾政治效能感之間的關係,使教育與政治二大人文學科能夠有所交集,並提供後續相關研究的學者一些參考。 | zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | As Abramson(1983: 135)noted: Next to party identification, no political attitude has been studied more extensively than feelings of political effectiveness. The aim of this article is to explore the origins of political efficacy in Taiwan from the view of civic education in school. First, the findings show that people with higher levels of education tend to have higher sense of political efficacy. Second, people educated in authoritarian period tend to have higher sense of political efficacy than who educated in democratic period. Third, people who had high school degree and the degree above, and educated in democratic period had higher sense of political efficacy than others. Moreover, the empirical result shows that civic education in school played an important role when we mentioned the origins of political efficacy. In addition, we demonstrate some factors influencing the internal efficacy and external efficacy, for example, sex, political sophistication, political trust, party identification, ethnic identification and so on. | en_US |
