怪誕藝術風格運用於人格特質表現之插畫創作研究

Abstract

怪誕藝術自古伴隨著各種文本的表達，它通過反常的視覺元素與組合手法，常常能向觀者展示現實社會的內核，被驗證為一種具有強烈視覺衝擊力的形式。本研究整理怪誕藝術風格的發展歷程，通過文獻與案例分析論述存在於各個設計流派中的怪誕藝術，從中解析怪誕藝術風格的構成原理為三點： 1.種屬的混合2.自然的扭曲3.解構與破壞；依照以上原則再總結出有組合、省略、誇張、特異與異變、矛盾與反諷、對比、隨機、虛實、重複的九種怪誕藝術風格的構成形式。案例分析分為五大海報展、商業作品與設計師個人風格三個面向為取樣範圍分析怪誕藝術風格在視覺設計中的應用。怪誕的視覺設計作品可以依據情感導向分爲滑稽類、恐懼類與反常類；依據表現風格分為幾何式怪誕、插畫式怪誕、真實影像怪誕與組合式怪誕風格。怪誕藝術風格的作品在單一或者組合應用九種怪誕藝術風格的構成形式的基礎上，統整成功的作品更常常具備有：不同形式的組合、拆解「人」的意象、固有的符號與元素高頻使用、色彩飽和度高對比強烈、多元視覺呈現技法的表徵，以及滑稽和反差可怕並存的雙向情感之內核。研究創作以MBTI人格理論的16型人格為主題，對應其特質創作16件插畫作品。創作以平面幾何、立體幾何、寫實拼貼和手繪插畫怪誕四種不同技法，應用怪誕藝術風格的構成原則與構成形式，將不同人格的抽象概念通過物件的具象化視覺來呈現。以怪誕藝術風格的內在精神和外在特徵展現不同人格特質的外在相關物元素和其對應的內在的意識形態。經過創作實證後得到研究結論：1.怪誕感受是一種感知體驗，它的視覺效果很大程度上取決於觀者的情感反饋；2.人格群像透過視覺表達，可讓有迷因效應的體系傳播效率更高；3.怪誕形式人物群像的表現常常以拆解與組合「人」的意象為構成方法；4.怪誕視覺形象具有混亂的感覺，但是在設計中通常由邏輯的組合方法形成。Grotesque art has been accompanied by the expression of various texts since ancient times. Through abnormal visual elements and combination techniques, it can often show the core of real society to the viewer and has been verified as a form with strong visual impact. This study organizes the development process of grotesque art style, discusses the grotesque art that exists in various design schools through literature and case analysis, and analyzes the composition principles of grotesque art style into three points: 1. Mixing of species 2. Distortion of nature 3. Deconstruction and destruction; based on the above principles, nine forms of grotesque artistic styles are summarized: combination, omission, exaggeration, idiosyncrasy and variation, contradiction and irony, contrast, randomness, virtuality and repetition, and repetition. The case analysis is divided into three aspects: five major poster exhibitions, commercial works and the designer's personal style to analyze the application of grotesque artistic style in visual design. Weird visual design works can be divided into funny, fearful and abnormal types according to their emotional orientation; according to their expression styles, they can be divided into geometric grotesque, illustrative grotesque, real image grotesque and combined grotesque styles. Works in the grotesque art style are based on the single or combined application of the nine grotesque art styles. Works that integrate successfully often have the following: combinations of different forms, images of dismantling"people", and inherent symbols and elements. High-frequency use, high color saturation and strong contrast, characterization of multiple visual presentation techniques, and the core spirit of two-way emotions that coexist funny and terrifying contrasts. The research and creation are based on the 16 types of personality of MBTI personality theory, and 16 illustrations are created corresponding to their characteristics. The creation uses four different techniques: plane geometry, three-dimensionalgeometry, realistic collage and grotesque hand-drawn illustrations. It applies the composition principles and forms of grotesque art style to present the abstract concepts of different personalities through the concrete vision of objects. The inner spirit and outer characteristics of the grotesque artistic style show the external related elements of different personality traits and their corresponding inner ideologies. After creative experiments, the research conclusions are drawn: 1. Weird feeling is a perceptual experience, and its visual effect depends largely on the emotional feedback of the viewer; 2. Through visual expression of personality group portraits, people with memetic effects can The communication efficiency of the system is higher; 3. The expression of grotesque figures is often composed by disassembling and combining the image of"people"; 4. The grotesque visual image has a sense of chaos, but in design, it is usually formed by a logical combination method.
