明星高中生的美麗與哀愁—明星高中學生挫折與學習倦怠之敘事研究

dc.description.abstract本研究的目的在探討明星高中學生學習情況、挫折情況、挫折後學習倦怠情況,以及挫折後的應對方式。研究方法採質性敘事研究方法,邀請了六位明星高中學生之參與者,進行半結構式的深度訪談,並以質性研究主題分析法對所蒐集到的文本資料進行分析。研究結果發現,明星高中學生的榮耀與使命來自對學校的自豪與認同,及高自我期許的理想追求,也背負眾人的期許;明星高中學生的學習困擾,包括分數是生活的主要壓力、為入頂大補習壓力、無法不追求完美、不能輕言放棄進入明星大學的機會,以及未知的新挑戰也須克服;在光環下的挫折,包括面對同儕競爭不易、被視為理所當然的成功、自我效能感的影響,並努力克服光環帶來的求助障礙、新課綱無窮的完美競技,並渴望不容失分的學習歷程檔案,追求頂大歷程更難熬。陷入挫折後的學習倦怠情形,包括身心健康不佳降低了學習意願和動機、將挫折外在歸因降低學習熱忱、被評價壓垮自己而選擇孤獨無援、連續性的挫折放棄努力和嘗試;挫折後的應對方式,包括內在動機是追求卓越的後盾、外在動機的調節是克服逆境的動力、挫折內在歸因追求勝任感的滿足、在失敗中尋找建設性策略、心理資本引導建設性的認知判斷、尋求社會資本支持往前邁進。本文最後針對本研究以受訪者明星高中學習歷程和挫折因應方式為基石,繪就輪廓,悉心建議家長、教育工作者及教育政策機構更積極提供學生恰如其需的教育。zh_TW
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to explore the learning situation, frustration, learning burnout, and coping strategies of elite high school students in Taiwan. The research method employed was qualitative narrative research, which involved six students that were elite high school students, with semi-structured in-depth interviews conducted. The collected textual data was analyzed using qualitative research thematic analysis.The findings of the study reveal that the glory and mission of elite high school students stem from their pride and identification with their school, as well as their high self-expectations and the expectations placed upon them by others. The learning struggles of elite high school students include the pressure of grades as the main stressor in their lives, the pressure to attend top universities through cram schools, the inability to not pursue perfection, the reluctance to give up the opportunity to enter prestigious universities, and the need to overcome new and unknown challenges. Frustrations experienced in the spotlight include difficulties in facing peer competition, being seen as successful as a matter of course, the influence of self-efficacy, and the effort to overcome barriers in seeking help under the spotlight, the endless pursuit of perfection in the new curriculum, and the desire for flawless learning portfolio, making the pursuit of top universities even more challenging.After experiencing setbacks, one may encounter a state of learning fatigue, which includes a decline in the willingness and motivation to learn due to compromised physical and mental health. External attributions of failures may dampen enthusiasm for learning, and the fear of being judged might lead one to isolate themselves and seek no support. Continuous failures can erode the drive to make further efforts and attempts.In response to setbacks, various coping strategies can be employed. Intrinsic motivation serves as the foundation for pursuing excellence, while regulating external motivation can serve as the driving force to overcome adversity. Internal attributions of failures can be reframed as an opportunity to seek satisfaction through competence. Constructive strategies can be found within failures, and the utilization of psychological capital can guide constructive cognitive judgments. Seeking support from social networks can also facilitate progress towards moving forward.In conclusion, this paper outlines the learning experiences and coping strategies of elite high school students based on the interviews conducted, and provides thoughtful recommendations for parents, educators, and educational policy institutions to actively provide students with education that meets their needs.en_US
