音樂劇演員的舞蹈換氣點研究—以《芝加哥》為例

Abstract

美國百老匯音樂劇《芝加哥》自開演後一舉拿下無數大獎,因此在許多人心中贏得不可動搖的地位。其精湛的舞蹈動作及動人的歌唱片段更是音樂劇中歌舞結合的完美體現,是音樂劇演員們學習的重要範本及楷模。本研究企圖藉由《芝加哥》的幾個片段來進行試驗,實際地分析、比較和研究,期待能精進音樂劇演員找到適合的呼吸和換氣的方式,尤其在轉換的關鍵呼吸上。本篇研究報告將以音樂劇的歌舞為出發,特別是以歌舞中的換氣點為主要研究方向。音樂劇的種類繁多,難度較高邊唱邊跳的歌舞片段,是劇中不可或缺的表演亮點,它的核心是以舞蹈渲染為重要的手段。而舞蹈在音樂劇的元素中,可以烘托劇情,豐富音樂意象,同時,舞蹈能透過肢體表現來建立角色,並透過編排行動來刻畫角色性格,既能推動情節,又能帶領劇情時空虛實的轉換。因此在撰寫此研究報告時,將深入探究音樂劇演員在舞蹈與音樂之間,是如何以歌唱的換氣點交互作用、相輔相成,而完成呼吸能量的使用。
‘Chicago,’ the American Broadway musical, has won multiple awards and won a unreplaceable spot in many people’s hearts. The exquisite dance moves and moving singing parts shows perfection of the combination of music and dancing in musicals and it is also a role model for musical actors. This research experiments through parts of ‘Chicago,’ and compares it, analyzes it to let the actors find a better way to breathe, especially on transition points.This research is initiated focusing on the songs and dancing in the musical, especially focusing on the breathing points. There are many kinds of musicals, and the singing and dancing parts combined is a necessary spotlight in the performance, using the dance moves as a core of rendering the audience. Dancing is an element that can support the plot and bring a variety to the music. At the same time, dancing can establish a character, and the character’s personality can be shown by the moves. It can also push the plot, and it could lead the transition upon the time and space in the musical. This research would dig deeper in how the actors are able to breathe while dancing and singing, and how they transform the energy through breathing.
