Abstract

本創作研究探討藝術家自身藉由旅行各地對不同國家、不同城市的觀察感受,藉由畫筆的堆疊來呼應自己旅行經驗,探討對旅行中對不同國家、城市所感動的一種觀點。論文共分五個章節,分別為「緒論」、「創作理論基礎」、「創作理念」、「形式內容與媒材技法」、「作品解析」、「結論」,作為我研究所期間的創作梳理。 在「緒論」中詳述了筆者在失戀後藉旅行自我放逐,進而開啟這一系列作品的動機,漸漸的從這樣的情緒轉移至對城市狀態的關注。「創作理論基礎」的章節深入了解關於城市狀態變化的影響要素,更進一步的探討城市環境變化對人的影響與改變。「創作理念」筆者從藝術史的角度釐清作品的脈絡來源,從光影表現方式的演變延伸到筆者在旅行時對不同國家、不同城市的觀點,最後回歸對自身生活環境的觀察與反思。「形式內容與媒材技法」是透過理性的解構作品的形式、內容、技法等元素,客觀的分析筆者如何應用這些元素構成畫面。「作品解析」則是將作品分成『逆光』、『旅行與街景』、『都會』三個系列並詳述每件作品創作時的想法。最後的「結論」章節是筆者回顧這些作品的感受以及對未來的展望。 筆者從小在鄉下長大,國中畢業後因緣際會來到台北求學因此接觸到大城市,感受到許多與鄉下完全不同的落差,密集的人群和高樓給了我許多的刺激,陌生的環境引發了一種強烈的疏離感,並在這樣的情感狀態下重新建構出新的歸屬感,因為這樣的出生背景,筆者對環境的差異感受特別敏銳,也因著這樣,在旅行的過程中環境與內心的感知之間彷彿形成了一種對話,一種不再只是精細描繪物體的外型,而是透過畫筆的痕跡延伸情緒,同時沉浸於每個城市變動的氛圍下,疏離客觀的情感與城市樣貌聯繫的成果。 經由實際於現場觀察、描繪的過程中,似乎與每個城市有了一些聯繫,在繪畫過程裡,不單單是描繪房屋街道的形體或是光影變化,還有內在感知投射於景物中的情感形貌,藉由這樣的方式在繪畫過程中一再的與景物產生對話,成為了變動的城市意象下內心所塑造出的情感形貌。有鑑於此,似乎形成了對於環境的另一種觀看的方式。 關鍵字:城市、旅行、光影
This research is an exploration of the artist's own experience and observation by traveling around different countries and cities. I choose painting as the medium of describing my knowledge and presenting my sensation of travel experience. The thesis is divided into five chapters, namely, "introduction", "creative theory", "creative concept", "formal content and media techniques", "works analysis" and "conclusion", as the classification of my creation during the institute. In the "Introduction" details the author’s self-precipitated journey after the end of the relationship. This become the motivation of the series of works, gradually transferred from negative emotional outlet to the attention of the city's condition. The chapter of "creative theory" analyzes the influential elements of changes in urban environment in-depth, and further explores the impact and transform on human race. The "Creative concept" chapter is about clarifying the source of the works from the perspective of art history, recording the performance of light and shadow during travel, and returning to my own living environment as a reflection. "Formal content and media techniques" is an objective analysis and rational deconstruction of how the painter apply the form, content, techniques and other elements to constitute the screen. "Work Analysis" is divided into three series: "Backlight", "Travel and Street View", and "City" with detailed idea narrative of each piece of work therein. The final "conclusion" section is the review of author’s feelings during creative process and the outlook for the future. I grew up in the country. After graduating from junior high school, I went to Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, to get further study. There are many difference between urban and rural areas. Great population and intensive skyscrapers brought a strong sensory stimulation, but the unfamiliar sensation led to alienation. I try to re-build a new sense of belonging in this environment. Because of this growing background, I am keen in feeling the changes in the environment. This talent enables me to have interaction with people and things easily during travel, not just depict the outline of object with delicate decoration, but contains emotions and understanding in the painting. By the process of painting, my thoughts resonate with the scene again and again, till the construct of the mutative city and rich emotion integrate into a series of works. In view of this, creating works seem to form another way of observing the environment. Keywords : city, travel, light and shadow.
