zh_TW
Purpose: Based on the neural efficiency hypothesis, this study explores the effectiveness of sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) neurofeedback intervention on improving golfers’ long game performance. Past studies have demonstrated that increasing sensorimotor rhythm (SMR) is conducive to effective allocation of attention resources and improvement of movement automaticity, which results improved sports performance. Method: Based on the suggestions of previous empirical research, this study recruited 16 TLPGA golf players as participants. A crossover design with random assignment of order scenarios was employed to examine the impact of one session SMR neurofeedback training on golf long game performance and psychological subjective feelings. Result: The paired t-test revealed that the SMR power was enhanced after one session of neurofeedback training, which was accompanied by a significant improvement in the golf performance, subjective concentration, and relaxation. Conclusion: Present study was the first empirical research to use single neurofeedback training on golf long game performance. According to the research results, increased SMR power by one session of neurofeedback training has a positive impact on golf performance, which can not only promote the benefits of precise sports performance but also enhance the value of practical application of sport science training on golf. Future research should further investigate the effects of SMR power and other key cortical indicators that affect precision exercise on golf performance, and find the most efficient training method.en_US
