傳統工藝策展研究―以府城工藝師作品為核心

Abstract
台南曾是台灣的政經文化中心，人文薈萃，文風鼎盛，各類型藝術也蓬勃發展，在居民與土地長年的交融下，宗教、民俗與生活所展現的特色較其他地區鮮明，連帶地相關性的工藝事業也比其他地區興盛。如果 「工藝」是源自於人類生活上的實務需求，則每個國家和族群，都有自己獨特的工藝文化，顯示著每個族群的經濟基礎、社會習俗和自然環境的狀況，進而反映出住民的生活態度、理想願景等心理意識，所以工藝所代表的民族文明之蘊涵是地方上極其珍貴的文化資產。
本文以台南地區2004年至2013年間舉辦的工藝展覽活動為主，透過研究者近二十年來實際設計商業展覽活動之經驗，及自2007年開始參與承接台南公部門之傳統工藝的策展經驗與觀察，輔以對府城目前仍實際進行傳統工藝製作的藝師們訪談，並針對三位在傳統工藝領域中較活躍及對自身經營較有做法的「國家工藝獎」或「薪傳獎」的工藝師做深入訪談。另針對府城傳統工藝的發展脈絡進行資料的蒐集與研究，瞭解台南傳統工藝目前的發展趨勢及實際需求，對照目前公部門之於台南市傳統工藝的發展及作為作一探討。
本研究擬以文獻分析與訪談同時並行，從傳統工藝的歷史與變遷、傳統工藝之於地方上的精神內涵與文化脈絡；台南傳統工藝的特質及種類介紹、目前的資源及發展、近十年的工藝策展活動及趨勢，以及研究者對府城傳統工藝實際規劃設計活動之觀察與心得，做為參考分析的架構基礎。之後再進行對工藝師的深入訪談，以瞭解目前仍在傳統行業中持續生產製作藝品的工藝師們看法，及目前傳統工藝所面臨的困境與挑戰，同時進行研討。相信這結果或者能為府城傳統工藝的未來策展方向與行銷通路做一建議，亦為傳統工藝的未來發展開啟出一條永續的道路。
Tainan used to be the political, economic and cultural center in Taiwan. With the cultural atmosphere, it was flourishing with cultural ethos and arts. While with the combination of religion, folklore and life, local craft culture has created a distinctive characteristic and prospers compare to other regions in Taiwan. If the " Craft " is derived from the practical needs of human life, then every country and ethnic groups will develop its own unique craft culture. The craft culture is reflecting the local economic status, social customs and the natural environment status of each ethnic group. Thus also reflects the residents’ attitude in life, their ideal and visions. These are some the reason why local ethnic craft culture is extremely precious and also valuable cultural assets. This study is base on Tainan Area Craft Exhibitions, which held between 2004-2013 and the experiences of the researchers from the actual design of these commercial exhibitions for the past two decades. In addition of the participation, observation of these events, in-depth interviews were conducted with three national awards winning craftsmen who are very active in their trades and well managing their commercial operations. In parallel, this study analysis from the history development of Tainan traditional crafts and to understand Tainan traditional craft current trends and actual demand. Detailed description of Tainan traditional craft qualities and types, the current resources and the development of the past decade the craft curatorial activities and trends. By comparing the current Tainan City Government development of traditional crafts and practices discussed, this study intends to analysis and interviews simultaneously in parallel from the history and vicissitude of traditional crafts to finds the difficulties and challenges faced by the process. This study will be able to make a curatorial direction suggestion to the traditional crafts exhibition of Tainan in the future and also propose the marketing direction for the traditional crafts to create a healthy, sustainable road map for the traditional crafts development.
