Abstract
The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of multiple couples group therapy applied to the high-risk families. The explanatory mixed method design was used to divide the study into two phases. In Phase 1, quantitative data were collected from 13 couples and 1 wife who completed the "Multi-dimensional Marital Satisfaction Inventory" and the "Together to Love Inventory". In Phase 2, qualitative data were collected from 8 couples' in-depth interviews and analyzed by the method of content analysis. Results indicated that the satisfaction of before-group, after-group and one-month–after group are significantly different for several sub-scales. And the emotional, interactive and conceptive factors composed the group therapeutic factors. Implications for counseling practice and suggestions for future research are discussed.
