Abstract
The assessment of implementation fidelity has been highlighted as critical to understanding how programs are implemented in efficacy studies as well as how programs are implemented as they transition from research settings into “ real world" settings. The purpose of this study is to explore the state of fidelity of implementation for teachers teaching in the course program of drug abuse prevention in order to arouse the attention of researchers and educators to this issue. The subjects are the teachers who participated in the course program of life skills-based drug abuse prevention, a total of fourteen. The research instrument adopted the structured questionnaire to collect data. Data analysis was using descriptive statistics (frequency distribution, mean, percentage, standard deviation) , two independent samples testing with Mann-Whitney U test and Wilcoxon of nonparametric statistics. The research results suggested that there are over 90% of the higher fidelity of implementation toward course of drug abuse designed and teaching material delivery among fourteen teachers, and no difference in different age, gender, level of education, teaching seniority and education background. According to the results, this course can be effectively used in school settings.
