隱與現之間-論同性戀運動員之運動生涯困境與調適

Abstract

本研究旨在探究同性戀運動員運動生涯中的困境與調適，採用深度訪談法及敘說進行描述及解釋，並結合相關文獻加強本研究之多元性，主要目的在於了解同性戀運動員運動生涯歷程所帶來的影響，探討其運動生涯中所遭遇的經歷，並從中了解到男、女同性戀運動員之異同，以及同性戀運動員對於自己的運動生涯經歷所調適的情形，研究方法採用質性研究的半結構式訪談進行探討，研究對象為兩名男同性戀運動員及兩名女同性戀運動員。研究結果為：一、同性戀運動員對於原生家庭的成長，自我認同歷程影響因素最大。二、從研究中可以發現同性戀運動員除了自我掙扎認同及現身外，他人的看法及環境也對於自我影響十分重要。三、男同性戀運動員相較於女同性戀運動員所面臨到的困境較多也較難公開現身。研究建議為後續研究值得深入探討同性戀運動員察覺其性傾向之心路歷程、在互動關係中採取尊重及包容的態度去看待性別少數族群以及提升社會大眾對於性別議題之瞭解。

The purpose of this study is to explore the dilemmas and adjustments of gay athletes in their sports careers. The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of homosexual athletes' sports career experiences, to explore the experiences they have encountered in their sports careers, and to understand the similarities and differences between male and female homosexual athletes and the adjustments homosexual athletes have made to their sports career experiences. The research subjects were two male homosexual athletes and two female homosexual athletes.The results of the study revealed: 1.That homosexual athletes have the greatest influence on their growth in their family oforigin and their self-identification process. 2.It was found that in addition to their struggle to identify and present themselves, the perceptions of others and the environment are also very important in influencing them. 3.The study suggests that further research is warranted to examine the journey of gay athletes in detecting their sexual orientation, adopting respectful and inclusive attitudes in their interactions, and enhancing the social and economic well-being of gay athletes.
