國小科普讀物適級推薦閱讀之研究

Abstract
科普讀物能引領學童開拓數理邏輯,是正規教育外最好的補充教材,但科普讀物如何配合學校課程單元或符合學童適讀年齡、程度等,因此本研究以九年一貫課綱以及康軒版教科書的課程規劃作為適讀年級的依據,並蒐集國內獲推薦閱讀且適合國小閱讀之科普讀物,再邀請國小教師依教學經驗,將科普讀物進行適級建議,並進行焦點座談,以建置國小學童適級推薦閱讀之科普書單。
根據研究結果,可得到相關結論如後:(一)國內近十年來獲推薦的科普讀物仍以翻譯作品為大宗;但從中亦可發現多位本土創作家的興起,並且頗受肯定;在讀物的文本體裁上以說解體類最多,也就是直接解說科學知識,漫畫類型亦屬於此類,且深受學童喜愛。(二)國小科普讀物在內容呈現上會由淺至深且書中的觀念會跨主題,因此國小科普讀物在直接對應課程單元,會產生一本書對應到多個年級及課程單元的現象。(三)經焦點座談整理出建議教師在課堂上可用來引導學童閱讀科普讀物的重點。
最後,本研究依分析結果進行後續建議:(一)學童在閱讀科普讀物時,建議如何運用適級推薦的科普書單;以及應配合的閱讀策略。(二)科普讀物在內容出版上建議應貼近適讀年齡及內容量宜適中。
Being favorable supporting materials outside the formal education, popular science books can help children developing mathematical logic. But how popular science books cooperate with school courses and which ages of children are ready for popular science books are still unknown. As a result, this study collected the popular science books acclaimed in Taiwan, sorted them based on Grade 1-9 Curriculum Guidelines and Kang Hsuan textbooks, and recruited the teachers in elementary schools to advice the readability based on their experience in teaching. The focus group discussion was held to establish a list of popular science books suitable for elementary school students of every grade. The conclusions are: 1) the majority of acclaimed popular science books in Taiwan are translated ones, but among best sellers there are many local authors. The popular science books are focused on descriptive contents and the comic type is popular for students. 2) The arrangement of material are from simple to complex in popular science books for elementary school students, and the topics are interdisciplinary. Therefore a popular science book usually includes materials spanning several grade courses. 3) The points to help students reading popular science books were concluded based on the focus groups discussion. Lastly, this study suggests: 1) Recommending popular science books based on grades with the accompanying reading strategy is necessary. 2) The contents of popular science books should fit the ages of students.
