In recent years, COVID-19 has led to a surge in the popularity of flexible work arrangements. Despite this, there has been a noticeable scarcity of research investigating the relationship between these arrangements and employee mental health. Consequently, this study was designed to explore the association between flexible work arrangements and employee mental health. It focused on a sample of employees from a Taiwan start-up company. In addition, the study aimed to ascertain whether work-life balance could mediate the effect of flexible work arrangements on employees' mental health. Data were collected via an online self-reported questionnaire, and a convenience sampling method was employed to achieve the target sample size. The study focused on full-time employees of a start-up company in Taiwan, hereafter referred to as Company X The sample size was approximately 150. The collected data were analyzed and interpreted using SPSS 23.0 software. The results showed a positive association between flexible work arrangements and employee mental health, and work-life balance was found to have a partial mediation effect between flexible work arrangements and employee mental health. The findings of this research could offer employers and employees of Company X a deeper understanding of the impact of flexible work arrangements on both mental health and work-life balance.en_US
