非預期喪偶親職男性哀傷經驗之詮釋現象學研究

Abstract

本研究旨在探究非預期喪偶親職男性的哀傷經驗，並深入理解親職實踐與性別角色如何交織形塑其哀傷歷程與內涵。透過訪談3位符合條件的研究參與者，以詮釋現象學為方法論，採主題分析法進行資料分析。研究結果發現：一、親職男性的非預期喪偶哀傷經驗涉及心理、生活與意義層面的挑戰；二、喪偶後親職實踐經驗涵蓋照顧挑戰、角色轉化與支持運用；三、喪偶親職男性在性別脈絡中呈現封閉壓抑與撐持體面的哀傷應對。最後，研究者基於上述研究結果與發現，針對實務工作者、學校與社區、男性喪偶者以及未來研究方向提出具體建議。

This study aims to explore the grief experiences of unexpectedly widowed fathers and to understand how parenting practices and gender roles intersect to shape the course and meaning of their bereavement. Drawing on an interpretative phenomenological approach, the research conducted in-depth interviews with three eligible participants and employed thematic analysis to interpret the data. The findings revealed three central themes: (1) The unexpected loss brought multidimensional challenges to these fathers, including psychological distress, disruptions to daily life, and struggles with meaning-making; (2) Their post-loss parenting experiences involved caregiving burdens, shifts in parental roles, and the navigation and utilization of both internal and external support resources; (3) Within the context of gender norms, their grief responses tended to be emotionally restrained, reflecting a perceived need to maintain strength and composure. Based on these findings, the study offers concrete recommendations for practitioners, schools, community organizations, widowed men, and future research.
