從個人學習到公共參與的轉化歷程--以永和社區大學公共性社團學員為例

Abstract
決定以「公共參與」作為研究的主題,看似偶然卻又必然,其所表徵的正如我這一路行來的生命轉化歷程。尤其,從1990年參與社會運動到現在,公共事務的參與,更啟動了我生命中一扇重要的門扉。其中,最讓我感受深刻的,莫過於近身參與了許多人「努力成為具主體性(subjectivity)」的轉化歷程。
本研究即是建立在對「成為一個人」的「自我實現及其超越」之根本關懷上,希望可以引發出更多「人」的可能性,以及對「人」的信心,匯聚出更多正向的力量。
在強調社區意識與社區發展的現代社會,如何才能更有效地讓個人從自我成長需求的私領域,進入對公共事務的關懷和著力?社區大學作為一以「解放知識、催生公民社會」為目標的成人學習機構,在社區大學運動近七年的實踐過程中,有沒有一些具體的作為,成功地引發了學習者從私領域進入公共領域?
永和社區大學自創校以來便設置了15個公共性社團,若干參與公共性社團的核心學員,在其參與過程中,經歷了從個人學習需求邁向公共參與的轉化歷程。本項研究將建構這項轉化的歷程階段,指出影響「轉化」發生的關鍵性因素,並進而提出對社區大學辦學的具體建議。
本研究的目的有三:
1. 建構從「個人學習」到「公共參與」的轉化歷程模式。
2. 指出影響「轉化」發生的因素。
3. 提出對社區大學辦學的具體建議。
The community consciousness and development is strongly emphasized nowadays. It becomes a challenge for us to effectively make the individual more concerned with the public affairs. As a kind of adult learning institution, the movement of the community universities in the past seven years has been aiming at ‘liberating knowledge’ and ‘building the civil society’. Do they have developed any concrete practice successfully bring the learner from the private realm to the public realm? In Yunghe community university, there has been established 15 student associations exclusively focusing on public issues from the start. There are some core members of these associations who have undergone the transformation from individual need to public participation during their participation. This research will construct the process of these transformations and identify the essential factors for the initiation of this kind of transformation. Based on these findings, this research will submit the suggestions for the operation of the community university.
