幾何造形應用於漢字標誌設計之創作研究

Abstract
作為一種特有的華文表達方式，漢字標誌和我們人類的文明一樣有著濃厚的歷史意義值得我們去探究。而每一座城也有著自己獨特的文化，漢字的獨特性往往能傳遞出一種獨特的韻味與城市相關，這是西方的英文文字無法構成的。本研究將運用「文獻分析法」收集相關文獻，梳理其「幾何造形」、「漢字標誌」、「城市標誌」三者的定義和發展脈絡。再透過「內容分析法」歸納幾何造型漢字標誌和城市標誌之構成手法以及表現形式，最終歸納出幾何造形漢字標誌的構成手法可分為「正負空間型」、「畫字互構型」、「色塊構成型」、「筆畫共用型」、「筆畫省略型」、「替換型」、「單一結構型」七類。城市標誌的表現形式可分為「地標建築型」、「景觀型」、「文化特色型」、「地理特色型」、「融合特色型」、「社會特色型」、「經濟特色型」、「象徵型」、「單一文字型」、「徽章型」十類。最終以2022年第一財經·新一線城市研究所發佈的《2022城市商業魅力排行榜》中4個「一線」城市與15個「新一線」城市為創作對象，透過了解每個城市的特色、定位和發展方向來進行創作概念的發想，創作出19個幾何造形應用於漢字標誌設計中城市的標誌設計，作為創作主題。本研究結論如下：（1）幾何造形應用於漢字標誌設計中城市標誌設計的創作方法為：確定欲製作之城市標誌所屬城市、找出城市定位及特色代表、選定城市標誌表現類型、選定漢字標誌的構成手法、創意構思與草圖發想、標誌設計、檢討修整、設計完成。（2）在城市標誌的設計上，城市標誌的表現形式比城市定位更重要。（3）融合特色型、社會特色型和徽章型的城市標誌表現手法以及色塊構成型和筆畫省略型的幾何造型漢字構成方式在城市標誌上較難運用。正負空間型和畫字互構型的幾何造型漢字構成方式在城市標誌上較好運用。（4）將幾何造形漢字標誌運用在城市標誌上，能夠凸顯城市的獨特華文文化，相較於使用英文標誌，更能充分展現城市的獨特性和豐富性，同時幾何造形漢字標誌能夠更好地展現華文城市的具體特徵。
As a unique form of Chinese expression, Chinese character symbols hold significant historical significance, just like our human civilization, and deserve exploration. Each city also possesses its own distinct culture, and the uniqueness of Chinese characters often conveys a special charm associated with the city, something that Western English characters cannot replicate. This research will utilize the"document analysis method" to gather relevant literature and examine the definitions and developmental context of "geometric design," "Chinese character symbols," and "city symbols." Subsequently, the " Content analysis" will summarize the techniques and forms of geometric design in Chinese character symbols and city symbols. Ultimately, the research will classify the construction techniques of geometric design in Chinese character symbols into seven categories: "positive-negative space style,""character combination style," "color block composition style," "shared-stroke style," "stroke reduction style," "replacement style," and "single-structure style." The expression forms of city symbols will be classified into ten categories: "landmark architecture style," "landscape style," "cultural feature style," "geographic feature style," "integrated feature style," "social feature style," "economic feature style," "abstract style," "single-character style," and "badge style." The final creative theme was based on the"2022 City Business Attractiveness Rankings" published by the 2022 First Financial and New First-tier City Research Institute, which included four "first-tier" cities and fifteen "new first-tier" cities. The concept for the creation process involved understanding the unique characteristics, positioning, and development directions of each city. As a result, 19 geometric designs were created and applied to the logo designs of the cities, incorporating them into the Chinese character logos, servingas the central theme for the creative process.The conclusions of this research are as follows: (1) The creative process of applying geometric design in city symbol designs using Chinese characters involves the following steps: identifying the city for which the city symbol is intended, identifying the city's positioning and representative features, selecting the type of city symbol representation, selecting the construction techniques of Chinese character symbols, creative conception and sketching, symbol design, review and refinement, and finalizing the design. (2) In city symbol design, the expression form of the city symbol is more important than the city's positioning. (3) The application of integrated feature style, abstract style, and badge style in city symbol representation, as well as the geometric design construction methods of color block composition style and stroke reduction style in Chinese characters, is more challenging. Positive-negative space style and character combination style in the geometric design of Chinese characters are more suitable for city symbol representation. (4) Utilizing geometric design Chinese character symbols in city symbol designs can highlight the city's unique Chinese cultural aspect. Compared to using English symbols, this approach can better showcase the distinctiveness and richness of the city. Additionally, the geometric design of Chinese character symbols can better represent specific characteristics of Chinese cities.
