生命印記：姚梧林版畫創作論述

Abstract

本創作研究《生命印記》主要為版畫以及併用複合媒材的創作手法所進行的一系列有關個人生命經驗的回溯與記憶封存的創作論述。筆者由於是來自馬來西亞的僑生，在台灣的大學及研究所生涯中的點滴，自然是筆者創作的主題內容，而在外求學的孤獨與懷念故鄉之情，與同為異鄉人的愛情故事等都是形構自己人格與內心智力成長的因素，也是筆者創作研究的出發點。版畫創作過程繁複，不同的步驟環節都可帶給筆者不同的體驗，不只做為生命故事的載體，也能抒發自己的情感，在不斷的演練過程中更提煉出自我的創作風格。本創作研究透過柏格森的生命衝力、佛洛伊德的創作昇華、羅蘭巴特的符號學、克羅齊的直覺美學等學術理論的爬梳，確立筆者的創作理念。創作實踐主要採用凸版單版覆刻、PS平版等版種進行創作，在創作過程中找尋自我生命經驗的記憶熱點，來回進行自我對話與思辯，透過版畫創作媒材的獨特語彙、創作語法和形成的語境，在不同時間點反覆咀嚼這些記憶，體驗創作過程帶來的心情轉折與心境的變化。創作主要以羽毛、拼圖及影像為素材，分成《片羽》系列、《凝視》系列、《瞬》系列三大系列，通過版畫創作及環氧樹脂的創作手法進行圖像符號的演繹與記憶的封存，述說個人的生命故事，串聯出生命綿延與成長之印記。

檢視此次創作研究，讓筆者體驗到藝術創作的真正意義與價值，瞭解生命經驗與創作思維、學理基礎、創作實踐的相互關係。透過版畫藝術創作將壓抑於內心的思鄉與情傷加以昇華，並精煉出自己的創作技藝和風格。這些經歷都將匯集為筆者往後持續創作的養分與動力。The creative discourse"Inprint of Life" delves into the realm of creation through printmaking and mixed media, exploring personal life experiences and the preservation of memories. As an overseas student from Malaysia, author’s academic journey in Taiwan became the focal point of author artistic expression. The emotions of loneliness and nostalgia for author’s homeland, along with author’s love story as a foreigner, have significantly shaped author identity and intellectual growth, providing the foundation for author's creative exploration.

Using relief printing techniques like Woodblock and Presensitized offset plates, author engage in a profound dialogue with author memories, drawing inspiration from theoretical frameworks such as Bergson's vital impulse, Freud's sublimation in creation, Barthes' semiotics, and Croce's intuitive aesthetics. Throughout the creative process, author explore the pivotal moments of author personal experiences, engaging in self-reflection and contemplation. Printmaking, with its unique language, syntax, and contextualization, allows author to delve into these memories at different stages, experiencing the emotional shifts and transformations that arise during the artistic journey. Feathers, puzzles, and imagery serve as the primary elements in author artwork, presented in three distinct series :"The Feathers", "Gaze", and "The moments". Through visual symbols and the preservation of memories using printmaking techniques and epoxy resin, author weave together the narrative of author personal life story, capturing the imprints of continuity and growth.

This creative discourse has provided author with a profound understanding of the meaning and value of artistic creation, highlighting the interconnectedness between life experiences, creative thinking, theoretical foundations, and practical execution. Printmaking has allowed author to channel suppressed emotions of longing and heartache, refining author artistic skills and developing a unique style. These experiences will continue to fuel author artistic journey, serving as a wellspring of inspiration and growth.
