Abstract
隨著科技的發展，閱讀習慣逐漸改變，數位閱讀已成為現代人生活中不可或缺的一部分。然而，對於樂齡讀者而言，使用數位載具閱讀電子書仍可能面臨一些挑戰。本研究旨在探討樂齡讀者於智慧型手機使用 HyRead 電子書 APP 之好用性，以期能提供更友善的數位閱讀環境，提升樂齡讀者的閱讀體驗和生活品質。因此本研究旨在探討樂齡讀者於智慧型手機使用 HyRead 電子書 APP 之好用性及其操作HyRead 電子書 APP 時所遇見到的困難與挑戰，梳理出樂齡讀者使用 HyRead 電子書APP的需求後，本研究將基於所整理的需求歸納出友善樂齡讀者的設計策略，及以期能提供樂齡讀者更友善的數位閱讀環境，提升樂齡讀者的閱讀體驗和生活品質。本研究採用混合研究方法，結合實驗任務、USE 問卷量表和訪談，以深入了解樂齡讀者使用 HyRead APP 的體驗。共招募十位 55 歲以上、具備智慧型手機與電子書閱讀 APP 使用經驗之受測者，參與實驗任務、操作結束後填寫 USE 問卷量表，最後再接受訪談。研究結果顯示，HyRead APP 在易學性方面獲得正面評價，但在整體易用性和滿意度方面仍有提升空間。樂齡讀者在使用 HyRead APP 時，面臨的主要挑戰包括：操作流程不夠直覺、字體太小、功能引導不足、部分功能操作困難，以及缺乏個人化設定等。本研究根據研究結果，提出 HyRead APP 在介面設計、功能設計和個人化設定等方面的具體優化建議，以提升樂齡讀者的使用體驗和 APP 的推廣效益。
Digital reading has become an essential part of modern life as technology advances and reading habits change. However, seniors may encounter challenges when using digital devices to read e-books. This study explores the usability of the HyRead e-book app on smartphones for seniors, aiming to create a more age-friendly digital reading environment and improve their reading experience and quality of life.This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining experimental tasks, the USE questionnaire, and interviews to gain an in-depth understanding of seniors' experiences with the HyRead app. Ten participants aged 55 and above with prior experience using smartphones and e-book reading apps were recruited to complete experimental tasks, fill out the USE questionnaire, and participate in interviews. The results showed that while the HyRead app received positive feedback for its learnability, there is room for improvement in overall usability and satisfaction. The main challenges encountered by seniors included unintuitive navigation, small font sizes,insufficient guidance for functionalities, difficulties operating certain features, and a lack of personalization options. Based on these findings, this study provides specific recommendations for optimizing the HyRead app's interface design, functionality, and personalization settings to enhance usability for seniors and promote wider adoption.
