Abstract
本研究旨在探究認真休閒志願服務參與者之體驗與歷程,以研究者自身作為研究參與者,透過自我敘說的研究方法,梳理研究者持續投入19年志願服務之生命經驗脈絡,加以探討形塑發展出認真休閒發展之特質,以及對其生命所帶來的意義與影響。自我敘說架構分為「啟程」、「啟蒙」、「回歸」三大階段,對各階段發展出認真休閒特質進行探究。本研究結論在「情境脈絡」方面三階段歷程分別為「啟程」:因加入童軍開始投入志願服務探索多元的可能;「啟蒙」:創立團隊服務發展為認真休閒者獲得正面成長;「回歸」:從掌聲中覺醒學著去接納真實自己重新再出發。在「認真休閒」方面回顧歷程三大階段皆符合Stebbins提出之認真休閒者六大特質,尤其在堅持不懈的毅力、投入個人的努力、持續的個人受益、畢生的職志規劃方面程度較高;而「生命的轉捩點」、「角色轉換」、「社群組織」、「表揚與激勵」皆對參與者持續投入服務並發展出認真休閒特質有重要影響。在「生命影響」方面包含感謝過去每段經驗的累積都將化為生命的養分、接納照顧好自己才能讓服務更具生命力的領悟。最後針對認真休閒志願服務參與者、投入志願服務新進參與者提出關於志願服務參與推動實務以及未來研究之建議。
The purpose of this study was to examine the experiences and progress of a serious leisure volunteer. The researcher took himself as the object of the research. With the research method of Self-Narrative, he organized his dedication throughout his 19 years’ experience of volunteer service, examined the traits that develop serious leisure, and explored the meaning and influence on himself. The structure of self-narrative can be divided into three stages: “Departure”, “Initiation” and “Return”. The development of serious leisure traits was examined in each stage. The conclusions of “context” in the study were defined as follow. “Set out”: Embarked on voluntary service and explored diverse possibilities of service when being a scout. “Enlightenment”: Giving growth for serious leisure people by the built of a team of serving. “Return”: Awaking from the applause, learn to accept true self and proceed the journey. The three stages of the serious leisure review process were in line with the six characteristics of a serious leisure person proposed by Stebbins, especially in “perseverance”, “dedicated personal effort”, “continuous person benefit”, and “lifelong career planning”. As for “The turning point of life”, “Transfiguration”, “Community organization”, and “commendation and encouragement”, four features above all had great influences on the participants’ lifelong services and the development of serious leisure traits. In the terms of “Life influence”, it included the thanks to the accumulation of every experience they encountered, which turning into nutrient of life afterward. Accepting and taking care of oneself made him conduct service with more vigorous. Finally, for the serious leisure participants and new partner who was ready to devote in voluntary service, this thesis proposed suggestions concerning the engagement of voluntary service and future research direction.
