花園迴遊—余筱秋創作論述

Abstract

本論文探討「花園迴遊」作為觀看方式的核心概念，並思考其如何透過藝術創作轉化為視覺語言。筆者跳脫對花園的傳統具象描繪，藉由色彩、線條與構圖的組合，營造出介於具象與抽象之間的視覺空間。透過「沒有花的花園」這一創作核心，筆者進一步思索：當觀看不再依賴具體花卉，而是經由視覺節奏與感知經驗來構築畫面時，藝術是否仍能傳達花園的意象與氛圍。第二章回顧東西方藝術中花園意象的演變與觀看方式的差異，並著重分析「迴遊式觀看」如何影響視覺經驗與構圖邏輯。第三章探討筆者如何在創作中運用色彩、線條與構圖策略，發展出動態的視覺語言。第四章則聚焦於四組系列作品的創作實踐與詮釋，使畫面成為可「遊走」的視覺場域。本研究強調觀看方式作為創作核心，不僅影響畫面的結構與呈現，也形塑觀者的感知與詮釋。透過創作實踐與理論對話，筆者將「沒有花的花園」作為一場視覺實驗，嘗試探索風景、空間與觀看行為之間的嶄新關係。This thesis investigates"Garden Wanderings" as a core concept of viewing and examines how it can be transformed into a visual language through artistic practice. Departing from traditional figurative depictions of gardens, the author constructs a visual space that lies between figurative and abstraction using color, line, and composition. Centered on the concept of A Garden Without Flowers, this study poses the question: when visual representation no longer relies on identifiable floral imagery but instead unfolds through rhythm and perceptual experience, can the essence and atmosphere of a garden still be conveyed through art?Chapter Two reviews the evolution of garden imagery in Eastern and Western art, highlighting differences in viewing practices, particularly focusing on how meandering viewing influences visual experience and compositional logic. Chapter Three explores how the author employs color, line, and compositional strategies to develop a dynamic visual language. Chapter Four analyzes the author's creative process through four series of works, presenting the pictorial surface as a space that invites visual wandering. This research emphasizes modes of viewing as a central concern of artistic creation—shaping not only the structure and presentation of the image, but also the viewer’s perception and interpretation. Through a dialogue between practice and theory, the author positions a garden without flowers as a visual experiment, aiming to explore new relationships between landscape, spatial experience, and the act of viewing.
