Abstract

In Taiwan, the first journal of library and information science was published in 1954. After 4 decades, 31 joumals are still publishing in this country. This article discusses the evaluation of 13 acadamic journals. The criteria for evaluation of those journals is designed by the National Science Council, which mainly used in humanities and social sciences. The evaluation elements includes journal formats, article formats, editorial works, and others. Finally, 4 suggestions are given.
