Abstract
本研究以臺南市花園夜市攤販為研究對象,針對夜市攤販的移動路徑進行研究,探究影響花園夜市此一塊狀型夜市攤販,其日、週、年擺攤移動路徑的安排、夜市巡迴選擇與計畫的影響因素,以時間地理學及社會資本為解釋架構進行研究。
研究結果發現,花園夜市攤販在此一塊狀型夜市中,透過夜市管理單位的刻意規劃、攤位權利的賦予,使攤販於每週四、六、日聚集於此一塊狀空間,形成一變動性極大、與地方聚落商業區無涉的消費地景。夜市空間呈現同類攤販分布集中且單純化,使之分區為飲食、生活百貨、休閒娛樂三大區塊。而從時間地理學中的能力、結合、權威三大限制發現,各類攤販因為攤具構造的差異、與中上游廠商結合場所的不同、與夜市管理單位、市政單位等權威規範的限制,影響其擺攤移動的時空配置。然而攤販在其高度移動性的背後,為求營生所做的努力,動員其社會資本,與網絡內外他人關係的獲取、建立與維繫、信任\不信任行為的展現、規範與懲罰、彼此互惠等所生成的社會資本,亦提供了攤販擺攤移動的選擇、機會與受限,反而是其擺攤移動的根本,更能充分解釋其移動路徑的安排。『關係的機會』與『關係的受限』都對其移動路徑造成影響。而花園夜市攤販因關係網絡內所生成的社會資本,影響其擺攤移動,展現為此一夜市空間內每一攤位空間背後,攤販擁有社會資本高低的差異,並非為一均質的社會空間。
The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors influencing the path movement of the vendors in the Tainan Flowers Night Market. By using “Time Geography” and “Social capital” as the study framework, the author attempted to explain the daily, weekly and yearly movement of different kinds of vendors. Dueto the management of this night market, these vendors gathered at this blockareaon every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Thus, Tainan Flowers Night Market became alandscape of consumption with great mobility whichis unrelated to the local settlements. And the space of this night market is divided into three different zones: food, groceryand entertainment. Same kind of vendors is concentrated in each zone. There are somefactors concluded to explain the phenomenon. First, due to the threeconstraintsof the Time Geography, capabilityconstraints, coupling constraintsand authority constraints,it was found that different stall tools, different coupling locations with upstream manufacturer and the authoritiesof the manager in the night market andof the municipal government impacted the movement of these vendors. Second, the social relationship and social capital, such as relation of trust,reciprocity and exchange, commonrules, norms and sanctions, givingopportunities or restrictions for vendors to arrange their movement,have also affected the movement of these vendors.Lastly, “the chances or limitations of relations” also influenced the movement. Because of the various level of the social capital caused by the relationnetwork, and thus reflected on the vendor movement. Thesevendorshave differentlevels ofsocial capital, the Tainan Flowers Night Market has become aheterogeneoussocial space.
