Abstract

摘 要

當下，是文明記載以來變遷最巨大的年代，交通工具的進步，改變了整個人類社會的行為模式，以往因工作、生活、居住的活動範圍限制而形成鄰里間緊密的人際關係，因為時空之間的距離已被快速的交通工具徹底顛覆，因此人們可以更自由的前往遙遠的國度，工作、生活、擴展新的人際關係，往昔熟悉的近鄰，卻變成最陌生，最不熟悉的人。 在我們居住的這個城市，人們快速的穿梭其中，由東到西、由南到北，為了工作、生活，無法長時間的去熟悉、認識這個城市，於是乎漸漸地與這日夜生活的場域變的陌生，人之間也變得疏離、冷漠，一種異於以往特殊的城市性格成形；社會心理學家們對於這種現象做了長時期的觀察與研究，並提出他們的見解，用來論證這些現象，藝術家們也開始思考這些切身的問題並以創作的形式對此提出質問。 本研究便是針對這個議題進行探討，對現代都市中人性疏離、冷漠，以及對未來無知、恐懼的現象，利用電腦動畫來進行創作，以錄像裝置呈現，冀望觀者在面對這個作品時，能引起內心深處一些悸動，進而開始關心這個城市，以及這個城市中的人。Abstract We live in an age of the greatest changes in human history. Advancements in transportation have altered the behavioral patterns of society. Interpersonal relationships within the neighborhood (community) were intimate in the past because of the limits on work, everyday lives and housing. High-speed transportation has nullified spatial distances, allowing people to travel freely to distant places for working, living and expanding new interpersonal relationships. As a result, the once familiar neighborhood has morphed into the strangest and the least familiar. In this city where we are living, people are quickly shuffling in every direction to work and make a living, leaving precious little time for knowing and understanding the city. We grow gradually less familiar with the area we live in, and people become increasingly alienated and indifferent to one another. An urban character decidedly different from the past is thus formed. After long-term observation and study, socio-psychologists expressed their views and proposed their insights to explain and prove such phenomena; artists began to ponder these questions of immediate concern and make their enquiries through their works. The aim of this study is to investigate this issue, using computer animation to depict, and imaging devices to present, human alienation, indifference, ignorance and fear of the future, in an attempt to inspire an echo from viewer and motivate them to begin to show concern for this city and its people.
