dc.description.abstractJ. Dewey的教育目的主張曖昧模糊,常常引起誤解和爭議,有必要加以討論與釐清。所以本文主要目的有二:第一是以Dewey的學說意旨和歸納前人研究的成果,對Dewey教育目的論再作討論澄清。第二是跳脫有、無二元對立的思維與語言文字的考掘,從超越性的詮釋立場,來衍釋Dewey教育目的論中隱而未顯的深意,期能開啟創造性的詮釋視野,啟發吾人的教育思考。為了達成前述目的,本文內容主要分成兩大部分,第一部分針對「教育無目的論」、「教育無外在目的」,以及「無目的的合目的性」等三種稱述Dewey觀點的說辭加以討論。第二部分是將Dewey教育目的論中有待商榷的論證與疑義「存而不論」,直接藉由老莊哲學的超越觀點,通過「萬竅怒號」、「無待於外」,以及「長而不宰」的理解,來開顯「生長」的人文意蘊,期能深化Dewey教育目的論的內在精義,開展新的詮釋視野。zh_tw
dc.description.abstractThe vagueness of John Dewey's terminology produces difficulties in capturing the spirit of his philosophy. In this article, the author clarifies Dewey's concepts of aims in education and presents a humanistic interpretation of his metaphor, education as growth, from the perspectives of two ancient Chinese philosophers of Taoism-Lao-tzu and Chuang-tzu.en_US
