zh_TW
Background: This study aims to examine the relationships among background variables, psychological resilience, depression, and life satisfaction in Scheduled III and IV drug offenders in Taipei City. It further explores whether depression serves as a mediator in the relationship between psychological resilience and life satisfaction. Methods: The participants of this study were individuals who attended Harm Prevention Seminars for Scheduled III and IV drug offenders in Taipei City between February 10 and December 8, 2023. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire, which included demographic information, the Brief Resilience Scale (BRS), the 10-item Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CESD-10), and the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). Results: This study involved 308 individuals who used Scheduled III and IV drugs, with 266 completing the survey (92.5% male, 7.5% female). The results showed that the number of seminar attendances was positively correlated with psychological resilience. Psychological resilience was negatively correlated with depression, while depression was negatively correlated with life satisfaction. Additionally, psychological resilience was positively correlated with life satisfaction. Depression was found to partially mediate the relationship between psychological resilience and life satisfaction. Conclusion: The results of this study indicate significant correlations among psychological resilience, depression, and life satisfaction in individuals using Scheduled III and IV drugs. It is recommended to alleviate depression and enhance psychological resilience in order to promote life satisfaction, which could, in turn, help address issues related to drug abuse.en_US
