越南巴地頭頓省華語教學研究 — 以巴地頭頓大學為例

Abstract

巴地頭頓省位在越南東南部沿海地區,是一個具有海港、觀光與石油等特色的省份。該省近年來透過工業化轉型,吸引諸多臺商進駐,並以「福爾摩沙工業區」而聞名,出現大量中文人才的需求。巴地頭頓大學成立於2006年,是該省唯一的高等教育機構。創校至今規模日趨龐大,校區亦不斷增設擴建,最終於2016年為因應國家經濟發展政策與配合當地產業結構成立中文系,用以培養中文相關專業人才,係以就業為導向產生的第二外語學習需求,並非依照漢學傳統所建構之中文系。自中文系成立初期至今,學生人數逐年急遽增加,同時,該省的語言中心如雨後春筍般紛紛成立華語班,在一般華僑地區較為少見,屬於由上而下的非傳統式華語發展情形。筆者在巴地頭頓大學中文系成立之第二年即透過教育部華師外派越南薦送計畫到此服務,在該校任教共計四年。本論文將探究巴地頭頓省的華語學習需求與發展,以巴地頭頓大學中文系為例,主要以2019-2023年間,該校中文系的辦學經營、學生學習、教材內容與教師教學情形紀錄。輔以筆者這四年任期的教學觀察與實際經驗,使用實體訪談與問卷調查方式進行分析,期望能夠以此方式探究巴地頭頓省的華語教學情況。願本論文能將巴地頭頓大學中文系之教學情況與發展沿革著實紀錄,為往後在巴地頭頓省任教的華語教師,或有計畫至巴地頭頓省發展的華語教師們有其依據參考。
Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, located in the southeastern coastal region of Vietnam, is a province known for its ports, tourism, and oil industry. In recent years, the province has undergone industrial transformation, attracted many Taiwanese businessmen and become renowned for the Vietnam Formosa Industrial Park (VFIP), leading to a significant demand for Chinese-speaking talent.Ba Ria-Vung Tau University, established in 2006, is the only higher education institution in the province. Since its founding, the university has grown significantly, continually expanding its campuses. In 2016, in response to national economic development policies and to align with the local industrial structure, the university established the Chinese Department to cultivate professionals with Chinese language skills. This department was created to meet the demand for learning Chinese as a second language driven by employment needs, rather than following the traditional sinology model. Since its inception, the number of students in the Chinese Department has rapidly increased each year. Simultaneously, numerous language centers in the province have started offering Chinese classes, a situation uncommon in typical overseas Chinese communities, representing a top-down, non-traditional development of Chinese language education.In the second year after the establishment of the Chinese Department, I was dispatched to Ba Ria-Vung Tau University through the Ministry of Education’s Chinese Language Teacher Abroad Program, serving there for a total of four years.This thesis aims to explore the demand and development of Chinese language learning in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, taking the Chinese Department of Ba Ria-Vung Tau University as an example. The focus will be on the department’s operations, student learning, teaching materials, and teaching situations from 2019 to 2023. Supplemented by my teaching observations and practical experiences during my four-year tenure, the analysis will be conducted through interviews and surveys, with the hope of examining the Chinese language teaching situation in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.It is my hope that this thesis will accurately document the teaching situation and development of the Chinese Department at Ba Ria-Vung Tau University, providing a reference for future Chinese language teachers who will teach in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province or plan to develop their careers there.
