Abstract
本研究探討台灣近代農業發展中,農民在每個不同生命階段,他們所學習農業知識之內容有何不同,學習管道有何轉變,他們是如何去重新學習及認知新的農業知識,如何看待自我及農業,如何調適自己的心態。讓自己能重新適應每個不同的歷史階段和社會環境,從而能再出發,其間的自我反思和經驗轉化的情形。並期藉由此研究提供政府及相關農政單位實施農業推廣教育和制定農業政策之參考。
因此本研究的目的是:
一、高齡農民農業知識學習特性及其轉折。
(一)分析農民農業知識學習的內容為何?
(二)分析農民學習農業知識的途徑為何?
二、比較高齡農民農業知識學習之異同;及不同生命階段之高齡農民,其農業知識學習的差異情形。
三、分析高齡農民對「農業」、「農民身份」的認知、定位及其轉折。
四、研究結果建議農業推廣教育實施和農業政策制訂參考。
基於研究目的,本研究以高齡農民生命史為依據,並使用質性的深度訪談法,將四位受訪者的資料整理融匯歸納。試圖以農民農業知識學習歷程的小歷史,來觀看台灣近代農業知識發展的大歷史。
本研究發現如下:
一、農民學習農業知識之內容因時代背景之不同而有所差異。
二、農民學習農業知識之途徑因時代背景之不同而有所差異。
三、不同農民間對於農業知識之學習內容及途徑有所差異。
四、農民對「農業」、「農民身份」之認知、定位因時代背景之轉變而有不同。
Abstract The thesis aims to explore the knowledge learning through the life stages of senior farmers and their knowledge transformation; and how do they recognize and implement to daily agricultural operations; and how do they adjust themselves when they encounter on the rapidly agricultural and social development. Also, what kinds of learning are conducted by these framers to increase their own critical thinking and self-authorship to contribute and maintain substantial agricultural development? Based on a review of the literature concerning and the research purpose are to find out the learning characteristics and transition of agricultural knowledge of elder farmers, comparison the different agricultural knowledge of elder farmers, analysis the transformation of recognition of agriculture and identity, and the research findings can offers related suggestions. The analysis and presentation of interview data are then discussed. The purpose is to dissect the perspectives of four elder farmers’ life stories, on learning agricultural knowledge in order to explain the transformation of Taiwanese agricultural history. Description and analysis of the oral history of four senior farmers, I find that personal experiences based on Chinese tradition, for instance the practice of farming is based on the lunar calendar, gain thought the informal learning are valued, especially before 1970s. Furthermore, they learn the modern agricultural knowledge that has diffused through either the non-formal educational or commercial institutions from 1980 to present and the knowledge of agriculture and identity has been transformed. The concluding chapter highlights that the way of informal leaning is prominent through the life stages of the older farmers. Finally, I offer some important suggestions and the key issues for further research.
