Abstract
一般銀行業者設立海外分行後的經營策略有 (1)複製自身成功經驗,繼續經營現有客戶,或是(2)在新市場中探索新事業或新的客戶需求。選擇上述後者策略可以幫助銀行業者取得金融創新,並帶新機會回母國總行,進而成就未來發展。透過分析臺灣銀行業者的海外分行策略角色,銀行業者可以發展出最適合的海外經營策略。本研究論點藉由分析臺灣銀行業十家銀行的 68 間海外分行策略角色與經營策略以得證。
Bankers who set up their overseas branches would either try to exploit the local market by replicating their successful experience, or explore the local market by learning the new business or finding the new customers’ needs. The latter could help a bank with financial innovation and bring more opportunities back to home country and be beneficial to the future growth. Through identifying the generic roles of the overseas branches, the bankers could develop the most suitable strategies for their overseas branches. Our propositions are supported through the analysis of the overseas-branching strategies of the ten selected Taiwanese banks, 68 overseas branches.
