Abstract
The creative discourse of this report,"Nature‧Spread" has been conducted between 2021 and 2024, explores ecological contexts, interactive relationships, and natural variation. It analyzes and depicts the natural phenomenon of coral spawning synchrony within the ecological framework, conceptualizing the series of "original appearance, symbiosis, propagation, and change" after sorting through. It employs phenomena, symbols, and colors to symbolize hidden natural or psychological phenomena. Whiter shapes images using the unique diversity of "coral" and connects them with personal life experiences or the living conditions of modern social environments, interpreting the relationship between humans and the natural environment. It contemplates various contradictions and perceptions existing in real life and the spiritual world, and engages in self-reflection and healing through the creative process. In theoretical exploration and research, starting from the perspective of the ocean, we delve into the morphology and significance of coral, gradually expanding into fields such as humanities and ecology. From this starting point, conversations extend to cultural, psychological, and aesthetic aspects, recognizing the interdependence between the natural environment and humanity. As research deepens, philosophical, psychological, and aesthetic dimensions are also incorporated into the discussion to enhance one's artistic literacy. Simultaneously, through cultural and artistic activities related to the ocean and humanities, we engage in discussions on societal issues, expressing concerns about contemporary society and imaginings of life through artistic creation. Various scenes and creatures in the natural environment have their unique habits and meanings, prompting personal reflection on the relationship between oneself and the environment. In the natural environment, I encounter the most profound phenomena and transform these experiences into reflections on the essence of life (joys and sorrows, partings and reunions), realizing that the ups and downs of life are just part of the natural order, embracing the present moment, and actively facing life. The creative theme is divided into four series: starting with the"Original Appearance" series to depict personal reflections on and healing; extending to the "Symbiosis" series to convey the interdependence or competitive relationships between individuals or groups in personal or societal interactions; then moving on to the "Propagation" and "Decline" series to depict the natural propagation of life and death in the ecological environment, as well as sudden environmental anomalies, weaving the memories and imprints of joy and sorrow within the heart! By the process of creation, one purifies or mitigates the traumas within the soul and expresses the natural essence, much like a documentary of life experiences. The author continuously analyzes, deconstructs, and reassembles media and techniques, merging Eastern and Western artistic thoughts and aesthetics. Through this creative process, they gain diverse experiences and emotions. Using ink and various fluid techniques on the canvas, they create unique textures and patterns, aiming to achieve complementary and harmonious situations, shaping a new personal visual vocabulary.
