Abstract

當受虐婦女離開家,她們多數並不知道,哪裡可以去。再者,當受虐婦女第一次企圖脫離孤立無援和尋求協助的時候,也可能使她們陷入最危險的情境。所以,找到一個安全的住處是最立即和救命的協助。庇護所被視為重要原因為它提供受虐婦女的短期住所、個人的支持和與其他機構的聯繫與幫助。這篇文章主旨在於探討臺灣和英國受虐婦女接受庇護服務的經驗及瞭解庇護所對受虐婦女的協助。首先,回顧過去的研究探討兩國在庇護所的歷史沿革、服務內涵和現存服務的優缺點,另透過深度訪談受虐婦女接受庇護服務的經驗,以及其他次級研究資料的收集,提出臺灣首英國受虐婦女對庇護服務看法之異同。
When abused women leave an abusive relationship they do not know where they will end up. Finding a safe place to stay immediately can be lifesaving. Refuges are considered important because they provide abused women with temporary housing, advice, personal support and facilitate their use of agencies. This paper aims to analyze abused women’s experiences of refuge services in Taiwan and England. It is hope that a comparison of the women’s experiences of using refuge services wills how the relationship between domestic violence and refuge services, and provide some suggestions for policy and practice improvements in the two different countries. Firstly, I will explain the methodology of my research, and details of the refuges examined in Taiwan and England. Secondly, it is vital do discuss the experiences women have had of refuge services. Finally, I will consider the similarities and differences between the responses to domestic violence in Taiwan and England, with suggestions for improvement.
