《超級名模生死鬥》及在地迷群:時尚敢曝式的身體、性╱別操演

Abstract

《超級名模生死鬥》為美國CW電視台自2003年開播的實境節目,以實境節目格式包裝的模特兒選秀節目,在節目當中可以看到模特兒的實際工作情況,以及時尚工業的運作。由知名超模泰拉班克斯為首,邀請時尚產業各領域工作者,包含攝影師、時尚總編、公關人員,為節目塑造專業度及可看性,首創時尚類實境節目之濫觴,不僅在美國大受歡迎,連播至今邁入第二十季,整整十年,節目版權販賣至全球各地,引燃一波超模選秀的全球現象。2005年由Channel [V]頻道引進台灣播送後,同樣引起台灣觀眾的廣大迴響。 在台灣脈絡下,不少迷群起而傚仿,其中《TNTB》以及《某種名模生死鬥》由台南藝術大學和世新大學的學生製作,從2008年開始持續數年,前者四季、後者共五季的節目內容,由同志帶領的迷群文本,展現的是迷群對於時尚的熱情、態度以及對原節目的喜愛,並透過網路討論、分享,進而累積屬於自己的迷群。 本研究經由分析《超級名模生死鬥》及迷群文本後發現,該節目彌補台灣時尚產業處於文化進口國的落後位置,提供台灣情境下缺乏的多元審美觀點及前衛美感,讓台灣觀眾認識模特兒工作的專業度,肯定其美學勞動之價值。節目中對於女性身體、性傾向及性╱別氣質的討論,促使台灣同志迷群得以肯定自我之同志身份,勇於出櫃,經由迷群文本的產製來展現自己的同志感性,操演出跳脫兩性框架的性別氣質;女性迷群則能跳脫台灣主流的審美框架,找尋出屬於自己的美麗、自信,成為迷群次文化中的超模冠軍。
“America’s Next Top Model” is a reality show which is created by CW Channel in the U.S.A. and started being broadcasted since 2003. Combined the format of realty show and fashion industry, this program reveals the real working context of modeling and the fashion industry which leads to an amazing rating and being renewed to cycle twenty for almost ten years. The format of ANTM is also sold to many countries and regions all over the world and became a global phenomenon. ANTM was introduced into Taiwan by Channel [V] in 2005 and is consumed and loved by many audiences within Taiwan. Since 2008, there are many fan-created versions were uploaded to Youtube and discussed in PTT, which is the biggest BBS forum in Taiwan. Within the bunches, “Tainan’s Next Top Bitch” and “Something’s Next Top Model” caught the most attentions and being continued for several years. Leading and created by male homosexuals, these two fan-created shows made an interesting demonstrations of bodily and gender/ sexuality performativity. This research intends to analyze how Taiwanese fan community interprets ANTM and how they define their body, fashion, beauty and gender. During the process, fan community in Taiwan appeals the campy spirits and try to use this humorousattitudes to be against the relatively gay-unfriendly environment.
