Abstract
From contact with music to being able to lead a musical team on stage, a conductor has experienced trials and baptisms from the mind to the heart, from the heart to the body, from himself to others. The researcher regards the process of preparing to conduct the performance as the research scope and content of this thesis. The following are five stages in sequence: The first stage: Understanding the background The conductor has a richer, more precise and detailed understanding of music types, styles, and spirits through the exploration of the music creators' background and creative concepts. The second stage: recognize the music (1) The original form of the music (organization, style, theme, speed, intensity, tonality, melody, harmony, etc.) (2) Establish a preliminary interpretation method and conceive a space for "re-creation" The third stage: team skills training (1) Guidance and stimulation of individual singing/playing ability of group members (2) The integration and distribution of the conductor's singing/playing ability to the members The fourth stage: body guidance (1) Basic command gestures and techniques (2) The conductor's integration and stimulation of singing/playing The fifth stage: Preparation and execution of the show Except for the explanation of the research motivation, scope and methods in Chapter 1, this paper will follow the above five stages: "understanding background" -> "knowing music" -> "team skill training" -> "body guidance" -> "show preparation" Five stages above are divided into chapter 2 "Introduction to the Composer and Works", Chapter 3 "Analysis of Music Structure", Chapter 4 "Vocal Deduction Skills", Chapter 5 "Conducting Interpretation" and Chapter 6 "Conclusion". Because Dubois was born in France, he composed the whole work in Latin, which is a special feature. In addition, the music belongs to the creation of the romantic period. The harmony and the scale of the orchestration are more prominent than the previous stage, but the lyrics are from the solemn and deep Christian connotation in the scriptures of the Bible, in the period when more individualism and free creation are promoted, there is a solemn and solemn work that makes researchers look forward to the combination of orchestral music and chorus. Different from the interpretation of sacred music in the Baroque or Classical period, see if they can collide with each other to create surprises. Of course, such valuable research results should also be shared with other researchers who are interested in studying Dubois’ seven crosses, or choral sacred music, French style music, orchestral choral works in the romantic period, etc. It also provides conductors and performers with more references in the interpretation of music.
