Abstract

薩繆爾・奇曼(Samuel Zyman,1956-),二十世紀中出生於墨西哥城的音樂家,從小展現對音樂的喜愛,奇曼的作品充分展現了二十世紀現代音樂特色,他的音樂不受古典理論規範的框架,和聲上打破固有大小調音階及調性使用,擅長加入不同的音樂元素,例如:教會調式、減音階及變化音階;他的音樂織度融合古典樂的豐富與爵士樂的多彩,使整體音樂聽起來自由、奔放且充滿直接與震撼的節奏感,像這樣的創作風格,讓他的作品在國際上逐漸受到重視,並成為墨西哥具領導地位的音樂家之一。本論文為研究薩繆爾・奇曼的《第二號長笛與鋼琴奏鳴曲》,探討其生平、創作風格,並配合分析樂曲結構來說明詮釋建議。本文共分為五個章節,第一章為緒論,說明本論文之研究動機與研究範圍,並提出文獻探討及訪談資料做為參考的依據;第二章將介紹奇曼之生平與其音樂風格特色;第三章為樂曲分析,筆者將探討各樂章的曲式、旋律、節奏與動機;第四章為樂曲詮釋,以筆者對奇曼與此奏鳴曲的認識及感受,用文字來描述演奏上的詮釋;第五章為結論。
Samuel Zyman (1956-), a musician born in Mexico City in the middle of the twentieth century, has shown his love for music since childhood. Zyman’s works fully demonstrate the characteristics of modern music in the twentieth century. His music Free from the framework of classical theory, it breaks the original major and minor scales and tonal use in harmony, and is good at adding different musical elements, such as church modes, diminished scales and Synthetic scales; his musical texture integrates the richness of classical music and the colorfulness of jazz, making the overall music sound free, unrestrained and full of direct and powerful rhythm. Such a creative style has made his work gradually received international attention and has become one of Mexico's leading musicians. This thesis is to study Samuel Zyman’s “Sonata No. 2 for Flute and Piano”, discuss its life, creative style, and analyze the structure of the music to illustrate interpretation suggestions. This article is divided into five chapters. chapter 1 is the introduction, explaining the research motivation and scope of this thesis, and presents literature discussion and interview materials as a basis for reference; chapter 2 introduce Zyman’s life and his music characteristics; chapter 3 is the analysis of the music. I will discuss the style, melody, rhythm and motivation of each movement. Chapter 4 uses my knowledge and feelings of this sonata to describe the interpretation of music performance in words.; Chapter 5 is the conclusion.
