高中生颱風和水災概念理解與防災素養之現況調查

Abstract

本研究以調查研究法來調查國內高中學生「颱風和水災概念與防災素養」之現況,研究對象為台灣地區的高中一年級學生。取樣方法採分層隨機抽樣,將全國(不含金門、連江等縣)高中區分為都會與非都會兩個區域,按抽取比例從全國(不含金門、連江等縣)公、私立高中選取304所,有效樣本總共為1965人做為問卷調查之抽測樣本。經統計分析後,得到以下研究結果:(一)高一學生在颱風和水災概念整體的具備程度屬於部分具備(平均答對率為64.69%),(二)學生的防災素養整體的具備程度為有些正向(平均得分為3.81分)。(三)在背景變項的交叉分析顯示,在颱風和水災概念與防災素養上達顯著差異,非都會區的學生皆顯著高於都會區學生;勾選任何一種防災知識來源的學生在颱風和水災概念的表現均顯著高於未勾選者,但是只有勾選防災知識來源是媒體或網路、書本、朋友或同儕三項的高一生在防災素養顯著高於未勾選者。防災知識選擇數量愈多的高一生,在颱風和水災概念與防災素養上的表現顯著較佳。選擇有參與防災技能相關活動之學生在颱風和水災概念與防災素養上的表現較佳,而且參與的項目愈多的學生表現越好。(四)颱風和水災概念分項間在「消息取得管道」、「基本概念」、「判圖能力」、「推論天然災害發生的可能原因」兩兩之間都達顯著差異,唯有「判圖能力」與「知道如何減輕和預防天然災害方法」兩分項除外。而在防災素養部份,學生的防災技能顯著高於防災知識與防災態度(五)在颱風和水災概念與防災素養兩者的分項間大都達顯著正相關(低度相關),意味著颱風和水災概念的提升可能有助於防災素養。因此,未來可以依據本研究的調查結果,針對高一學生未具備的颱風和水災概念和防災素養等項目,提供教師和學生設計優良的防災教材和天然災害參考資料等,以提升高中學生的防災素養。
This study aims to investigate senior high school students’ literacy on the issue f typhoon and flood disasters and prevention. We conducted a survey to investigate tenth graders' literacy on it. The stratified random sampling method was used for selecting participants. After deleting invalid data, the total sample size was 1965 from 304 senior high schools. The results showed : (1) about 65 % of the students understood the concepts in typhoon and flood disasters. (2) students had slightly positive attitude toward disaster prevention at average score, 3.81. (3) suburban students preformed significantly better than urban students , students with richer resources from mass media, books, and friends performed significantly better than those who had less or no resource, and more learning experience students from workshops or /and camps performed significantly better than those with less or no learning experience. (4) students' disaster prevention skills were significantly better than their knowledge and attitudes toward disaster prevention. (5) there was a significant correlation between knowledge and literacy in typhoon and flood prevention which means students' literacy may be improved if their knowledge increased. Therefore, the findings of the study could provide a base for curriculum development in the relative topics of natural disaster prevention in order to promote senior high school students' disaster prevention literacy .
