Abstract
以往研究婦女閱讀的場域主要在讀書會,認為讀書會的溝通學習可以使女性增加自信與知識,甚至促成觀點轉換。本研究則將研究的場域放置在家庭,以Belenky等人的女性認識論做為理論視角,透過不同時期婦女閱讀的文本,進一步了解閱讀、空間與女性自我的關連。
本研究以半結構式的訪談大綱,針對9位受訪者進行深度訪談,並將受訪者的訪談內容作為研究分析的基礎。
受訪者對於空間的概念,從家庭空間來看,涉及支配權與使用權,從閱讀的空間來看,五個閱讀地點的使用經驗,以及對理想閱讀空間的構築,都實際的反應出女性期待一個屬於她們的閱讀空間。
研究發現,婦女在四個重要時期:婚前、婚後至懷孕、生產後、目前,所呈現的認識觀,有的會呈現一致性,有的會呈現變動性。雖然每個時期的認識觀不一定相同,不過婦女卻透過閱讀文本反映出自我的認識觀,甚至是強化自我的認識觀。
研究的另一個發現,不同認識觀的女性對於文本與空間的需求,有其獨特性,不僅反應內在的自我,也呈現了文本、空間與自我的關連。
本研究希望能回歸到主體-女性,讓閱讀、空間與自我這三個要件成為撫育女性成長的搖籃,而不是絆腳石。
Women read in the study club were mainly research field in the past, think the reciprocal learning of study club can make women increasing confidence and knowledge, even promote their perspective to transform. This study is theoretical grounded in the perspective of women’s ways of knowing, thought the text which women read of different periods, understanding the connection of reading space and women’s self further. The study was administered by semistructured interviews and nine married women were interviewed by this qualitative study. Regarding to the concepts of the space, interviewees have two dimensions of space. The contents of the list from house space including hegemony and using right, and from reading space including five used experiences of reading space, and constructing of ideal reading space, practically reflects that women expect a reading space to belong to them. The finding of this study is as following: women are in four important periods: Before marriage, after marriage to pregnancy, after childbirth, and at present, women’s epistemology show that some are consistency, some are change. Though each period of the epistemology might not be the same, but women reflect the self epistemology through reading the text, even strengthen the self epistemology. The other finding is different epistemology women have unique needs for text and space, not only reflect inherent self but also show the connection of text, space and self. This study hopes to return to the subject-Women, let reading, space and self these three important elements become the cradle to foster women grown up, but not the stumbling-block.
