國中教科書封面圖像設計創作研究—以國文課本為例

Abstract
本研究為探索教科書封面圖像設計之創新方向,首先以文獻研究法進行教科書制度發展、書籍封面設計發展脈絡與趨勢探討,窺見教科書封面設計之趨勢,發現平面設計脈絡與書籍封面設計發展之連結性。其次在個案研究中,分析98-110學年教科書封面設計,並在文學類封面設計趨勢和國際得獎海報圖像類型中,分析得到當代視覺設計的圖像類型與書名字設計。接著在進行創作時,透過結合課文內容、遊戲教學互動設計做為封面圖像的表現內容,並運用分析結果中不同的圖像類型和書名字設計的設計表現形式,進而發展出六個創作主題。之後經由創作實驗過程發展創作,並利用問卷調查與專家小組評核驗證創作成果,調查分析顯示觀者偏好具像、豐富元素表現的封面圖像類型與結構簡化易理解的書名字設計,並高度認同對國中國文課本產生興趣也不同於現有的教科書封面印象,亦高度認同符合當代視覺設計表現。最後,本創作研究歸納結論如下:一、內容與美感兼具是教科書設計的發展趨勢,二、具當代視覺設計的圖像類型和書名字是教科書封面設計的創新與美感表現方式,三、本研究創作成果經驗證符合教科書封面圖像設計的創新與美感。
This study explores the direction of innovation in textbook cover graphic design. Documentary analysis was first conducted to investigate the textbook system's development and book cover design's evolution and trends. Through a glimpse of the direction of textbook cover design, the connection between graphic design progression and book cover design development was discovered. Secondly, the case study analyzed textbook cover designs between the 98-110 academic years. From the analysis of book cover trends in the literature category and types of international award-winning poster graphics, the graphic types and book title character designs of contemporary visual design were obtained. Then, the textbook's content and the interaction of game teaching were combined as the presentation content of the cover image. Finally, six creative themes were developed using the different image types and the design form of the book name in the analysis results. Subsequently, creations were developed through the creation experiment, and the created results were evaluated and validated through a questionnaire survey and by an expert panel. According to the survey analysis, the respondents preferred cover graphics with expressions created using figurative, rich elements and book title character design with a simple and easily understandable structure. In addition, the respondents strongly agreed that the interest in middle-school Chinese Literature textbooks was different from the existing textbook cover impressions. They also strongly agreed that it was aligned with contemporary visual design expressions.Finally, the conclusions of this creation study are summarized as follows. First, a focus on content and aesthetics is the development trend of textbook design. Second, graphic types and book title characters created using contemporary visual design are innovative and aesthetic expressions of textbook cover design. Third, this creation study's results align with the innovation and aesthetics of textbook cover graphic design.
