高職圖書館利用教育施行現況與成效之研究-以台北市為例

Abstract
本研究旨在探討高職圖書館利用教育施行現況和成效,以及高職生參與圖書館利用教育動機、使用圖書館情形,並分析不同背景變項的高職圖書館主任在實施圖書館利用教育課程目標的看法之差異情形與不同背景變項高職生對圖書館利用教育的態度上之差異情形。再根據問卷調查結果,提出結論,俾供改進高職圖書館實施利用教育的參考。
本研究以台北市高職學校圖書館為研究對象,採用問卷調查法,以高職圖書館主任及學生進行問卷調查研究,並利用SPSS統計套裝軟體進行資料分析,所應用的統計方法包括次數分配、百分比、t檢定、單因子變異數分析等。
根據文獻探討及問卷調查,獲致下列之結論:
一、高職圖書館利用教育施行的現況。
高職圖書館均相當重視圖書館利用教育的施行,各校均有實施,對象以高一學生為主,大多利用新生訓練之時,目前都沒有正式開設圖書館利用教育選修課程。時間不易安排,是推行圖書館利用教育最困難的關鍵,因此首要解決的問題,是施教時間及學生學習意願。
圖書館利用教育實施成效仍需加強,各校均有不同的教育方式,其中以利用網路資源及圖書館參觀活動等施行方式具有較高成效。
二、高職實施圖書館利用教育課程目標的看法。
圖書館主任認為圖書館利用教育課程目標的重要性依次為:增進學生自我學習能力:善用資訊媒體、輔助學習活動:培養學生利用圖書館與資訊能力:提供休閒娛樂,陶冶品德:培養學生終身學習的習慣:啟發學生閱讀興趣,提高讀書風氣:改變學生學習方法及態度。
三、高職生對圖書館利用教育的看法。
高職生參與的動機一般以上課需要、學校安排居多數。認為參與對學生在使用圖書館上有所幫助。不願參加的原因:以沒有時間,沒有興趣,有問題詢問老師或同學為多。多數表示願意學習更多有關圖書館使用的知識與技巧。平時使用圖書館的目的以自修、借還書居多。
四、不同背景變項高職生在圖書館利用教育的態度上有所差異。
最後根據本研究結論,對學校及教育行政機關提出建議。
Current Practice and Effect of Library use Education in Vocational High School — Taking Taipei City as an Example The aim of the research is to explore the current practice and effect of library use education in vocational high school, and to find out students’ motivation of participating such education and how they are using libraries in schools. The research furthermore analyzed the difference among goals of library use education. They are still held by the Directors of libraries who possess different backgrounds. Also, the research analyzed the difference among attitudes towards library use education. They are still held by the vocational high school students with some different backgrounds. Finally, according to the analytical result of questionnaires, the research drew some conclusions as reference to improve the practice of library-using education in vocational high schools. The subjects of this research are students and Directors of libraries in vocational high schools in Taipei. All the questionnaires gathered are analyzed by the SPSS software package. The statistics methods used include frequency distribution, percentage rank, t testing, and univariate analysis. According to literature discussion and questionnaire investigation, the following conclusions are achieved. I. The current practice of library use education in vocational high schools: The current library use education is mainly practiced in freshman orientation. And so far there are no elective courses set up for library use education, due to the difficulty of time scheduling. In a word, time arrangement and students’ willingness are the priorities by now. The library use education still needs to be enhanced; nevertheless, among all schools most effective are the using of Internet resources, and library-visiting tour. II. The goals of library use education listed by Directors of libraries: They are, in the sequence of importance: 1. to increase students’ self- learning abilities, 2. to let students know how to use information media, 3. to assist students’ learning activities, 4. to cultivate students’ power of using libraries and information, 5. to provide recreations and entertainments for students, 6. to foster students’ character, 7. to form students’ life-learning habits, 8. to enlighten students’ interest of reading, 9. to promote students’ studying atmosphere, and 10. to change students’ learning methods and attitudes. III. The viewpoints of vocational high school students towards library-using education: Their participating motives are mainly coming from class needs and school arrangements. They believe participating is helpful in their using libraries. Those who are unwilling to participate are mostly because they have no time, they are lack of interest, and they would rather ask teachers or classmates instead. Most of the students show their willingness to learn more knowledge and skills on using libraries. Generally, they use libraries to study by themselves and to borrow and return books. IV. The attitudes towards the library-using education are different among those students with certain different backgrounds. Based on the above conclusions, the research has rendered suggestions to schools and education authorities.
