Abstract

This paper attempts to prove that Chung-yung postdated Mentze by means of the theory that human nature is inherently good, the King of Hsun's filial behavior, the moralistic sense of "Righteousness" and "Heaven" running its own course, similarity of the usage of words between Chung-yung and Mentze, and some histori-cal facts.
