dc.description.abstract進步的觀念是教育創新與發展的基礎。 思想家的真知卓見對於教育觀念的啟迪裨益良多。本文以西方重要思想家洛克、盧梭、康德、彌爾、杜威、羅素與懷德海等學者的論著為藍本,擇其書中幾點教育蘊意提出討論,內容架構分為七大部分,包括:一、洛克《教育漫話》:談體罰、理性教育。二、盧格《愛彌兒》:談好奇心、「從做中學」。三、康德《論教育》:談獎懲。四、彌爾《論自由》:談「個體性」、思想自由、教育。五、杜威《民主與教育》:論學校教育之弊、「教育即生長」。六、羅素《教育與幸福人生》:論理想的品格、性教育。七、懷德海《教育的目的》:談想像力、教育的節奏。本文所述僅是洛克等七位學者思想睿智中的點滴,期望點點滴滴的努力,讓教育在經驗重組與校正的歷史進程中,孕育永續成長的生機。zh_tw
dc.description.abstractIn the educational field, no one can doubt for a moment the profound influence of some Western thinkers, such as John Locke(1632-1704), Jean-Jacques Rousseau(1712-1778), Immanuel Kant(1724-1804), John Stuart Mill(1806-1873), John Dewey(1859-1952), Bernard Russell(1872-1970)and Alfred North Whitehead(1861-1947)on both the theories and the practices of education. The purpose of this paper is to investigate these great thinkers' wisdom of education in their educational works. The works chosen are as follows:(1)Locke:Some Thoughts Concerning Education. (2)Rousseau:Emile.(3)Kant:Education.(4)Mill:On Liberty.(5)Dewey:Democracy and Education.(6)Russell:Education and Good Life.(7)Whitehead:The Aims of Education and Other Essays.en_US
