Abstract
時間感知存在於人類的意識運作之中。人們的生命歷程本質上是連續不間斷的體驗過程,是心靈運動的綿延體現。在生命動態中,圖像以視覺瞬間的物性顯現,將藝術家的內在自我意識與外在物質世界匯聚整合起來。
身為繪畫創作者,筆者在本論文中以自身經驗出發,探索與分析圖像中的時間性相關概念,藉以認識圖像之本質。本篇研究主要藉由藝術家創作和美學理論,探究繪畫創作中,人在「意向性」作用下與物質性的合流。從中認識靜態的繪畫圖像如何觸發人的動態心靈意識。有鑑於平面繪畫結合了人的身體經驗、精神、自然、記憶與物質媒材等因素,因此各章皆以時間感知為基礎,分別論述圖像的瞬間性質、創作形式與內容之表現。並且從時間性角度,探討在不同觀看方式介入下,觀者所感受的多樣態非物質精神性如何遊逸於時空結構裡。
本論文研究目標,是透過「視覺瞬間中的時間感知」之探討,檢視筆者的作品念想與實踐脈絡,在過程中凝塑、釐清自我創作概念,以期建構出較為完整的創作理論,增進自身創作內涵。
Time perception exists in the operation of human consciousness. People’s life course is a continuous process of experiencing and an incarnation of the spiritual movement. In the dynamic of life, images reveal themselves as materials of momentary visual experiences, integrating the inner self-consciousness with the external material world of an artist. Based on my personal experience as a painter, this thesis attempts to explore and analyze the concept of time in images in order to realize their essential nature. Through explorations, this study researches into the confluence of“intentionality”and physical characteristic in paintings by exploiting artistic creations and aesthetic theories and to reveal how static paintings can impact people’s dynamic consciousness. Paintings are the combination of a painter’s physical experience, spiritual consciousness, nature, memory, and material media. In the light of this, each chapter of this thesis illustrates different characteristics of the momentary in images, the form of creation, and the presentation of the content based on time perception. Additionally, this research discusses how observers can perceive diverse non-materialistic spiritual natures cruise in the space-time continuum through different ways of observing from temporal perspective. This thesis aims to examine the context of my thoughts and practice of works, clarifying the concept of self-creation with a view to construct a more complete creation theory through the exploration of“Time Perception in Instantaneous Visual Experience”.
