dc.description.abstractSince 1980, comparative librarianship in Mainland China has been rapidly growing in both areas of fundamental theory and applied research. The author analyzes relevant literature published from 1980 to 1994, noting this trend, as well as illustrating the diversity of views on definition, and commenting on the vast amount of publications of various type and focus. Major issues, such as content and methodology, are categorized and discussed.en_US
