Abstract

The author used questionnaire survey to investigate staff members’ user behavior, adoption attitude, and user satisfaction of online library training courses. Two hundred valid questionnaires were collected and the data were analyzed by Pearson correlation coefficient, Spearman correlation, independent samples t-test, and ANOVA. The main findings of the study are as follows: bibliographic databases are major resource to medical staff. Training course was chosen has no difference in those in the libraries of top Taiwan Medical Centers. Medical staff suggested that the required time for one on-line course should be better within 30 minutes. The attitude of medical staff to accept the on-line training courses of the hospital library was mainly based on the factors of obtaining CME credit certification and writing promotion report/thesis. In addition, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, people had to work in shifts and there’s a raising requirement on long distance course in the future, with the type of course can be mix of on-line and physical one. The information literacy score of medical staff had improved after attending the on-line training courses provided by the hospital library. The satisfaction with on-line training courses of the hospital library of medical staff was higher with usability and overall teaching than the connection quality and platform. There’s no difference in the satisfaction of various departments and various work experience of medical staff. The satisfaction of whole aspect training approach had the highest ranking, while both connection quality and platform still have room to improve for hospital on Wi-Fi infrastructure building and on-line courses platform building. Finally, the researcher provided suggestions to other librarians who will design the on-line training course in the future.
