Abstract

The concept of post-occupancy evaluation was utilized to determine the performance of the National Central Library located in Taipei. Both patrons and librarians were recruited to participate in the study. Questionnaires were implemented to collect 236 valid samples. The study concluded that the design of the building meets the need to the users including both the patrons and the staffs; the space, however, is getting brittle for the rapidly growing collection.
