| zh_TW |
dc.description.abstract | This study examined the relationship between antibiotic literacy and proper antibiotic use behavior among university students in Taiwan. The research participants were undergraduate students. In 2023, an online questionnaire survey was conducted, and a total of 482 valid responses were collected. The research findings were as follows:1. The antibiotic literacy (functional, interactive, critical literacy) of university students was moderately high, but there was still room for improvement in certain knowledge areas. Additionally, the antibiotic use behavior of the students was relatively good.2. University students majoring in the fields of medicine, health, and social welfare exhibited higher functional antibiotics literacy compared to those in other fields.3. University students who had received proactive explanations or prescription medication information from doctors or pharmacists in the past year exhibited higher interactive antibiotics literacy compared to those without such experiences. Fourth-year students had higher interactive antibiotics literacy compared to first-year students.4. University students who received more diverse channels of antibiotic information had better antibiotic literacy (functional, interactive, critical literacy).5. Multiple regression analysis showed that university students' antibiotic literacy (functional, interactive, critical literacy) could predict proper antibiotic use behavior. This study recommends incorporating antibiotic-related knowledge and the concept of bacterial antibiotic resistance in relevant educational activities to enhance university students' antibiotic literacy and promote proper antibiotic use behavior. | en_US |
