dc.description.abstract回顧中西藝術史的歷史脈絡,我們可視藝術創作為高超的精神上活動。 zh_TW
The structure of my thesis consists of two parts. One is self-awareness that discusses the relationship between real thinking and my creations. The second consists of the two concepts: reality and the abstract, and Imageology, which aid in viewer comprehension of my creations. Self-awareness can be shared through the assistance of Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung. In Theory of the Unconscious, Jung shares that the psyche is made up of separate systems that interact with each other. An example of one of the systems is Ego. Ego represents the conscious mind which includes thoughts, memories, and emotions and assist in continuity and identity. Psychology also points out that humans come from an original state, and they can obtain independence and a sense of power. This process is called individuation. The process of individuation can be influenced by surroundings, social needs, social values, behavioral patterns, inner feelings, self-evaluation and concepts. Carl Jung regards individual process as a refinement of human life that can pass through external substances to promote the human psyche. The second portion discusses reality and the abstract, and Imageology. Understanding the differences and similarities between reality and the abstract to aid viewers in realizing the difference between reality and fantasy inside my creations. Both concepts relate to traditional oriental metaphysics in China. In regard to Imageology, grasping the full idea of Imageology would allow viewers to better know that my graphics come from the my thoughts.en_US
