Abstract

我國自民五十七年延長國民教育為九年後,國民中學在量的發展上快速增加,乃是有目共睹的事實。惟在質的提高方面,十餘年來國中教育的各項措施,是否能充分發揮國中教育的功能,達成國中教育的目標,實在值得探討。有鑑於此,教育部乃於六十八年十二月二十七日公布「國民中學評鑑暫暫行實施要點」,並頒行「國民中學評鑑標準」與「國民中學評鑑手冊」,規定直轄市及各縣市至少每三年內將所屬學校全面評鑑一次。希望透過評鑑活動之實施,瞭解國中教育目標達成之程度,促進國民中學教育功能之充分發揮,進而改善國民中學之教育內容,使能配合國家建設需要。
This study is aimed to investigate the current situation of the educational evaluation of junior high schools, discover its advantages and defects, analyze the causes of problems, and then, provide some practical suggestions. To attain to the said purposes, two methods, were adopted to carry out this study. One is theoretical analysis;the other is questionnaire:The major discoveries of this study are as follows:(1)Evaluation helps understand the situation of junior high school education, and is essential for future development.(2)The viewpoint that evaluation is aimed to discover the problems of junior high school education has been widely recognized and accepted.(3)Further communications in the concept of evaluation is required, especially among teachers.(4)The standard of evaluation should be constantly amend to meet the requirement.(5)To achieve higher efficiency, the evaluation team should be formed by the special committee in charge of evaluation.(6)It would be more proper if the members of evaluation team are recruited from different background and levels.(7)Members of evaluation team ought to acquire professional knowledge and skill on evaluation.(8)It is a proper measure to carry out evaluation by way of self—evaluation, mutual—evaluation and evaluation team.(9)It would be better if mutual—evaluation were conducted by turns among different schools.(10)The execution of self—evaluation should be strengthened in order to achieve the expected effects.(11)Half a day is too short for evaluation team to complete a thorough evaluation on one school. The time should be prolonged.(12)The evaluation handbook and evaluation standard should be combined in order to enhance efficiency.(13)Conferences held to review the performance of evaluation have failed to accomplish the expected effect in mutual communication;the communicative function needs to be strengthened.(14)After evaluation, the advantages and disadvantages of each school should be publicized, but the grades and
