近五十年我國教育史學門研究之探討

Abstract

本文對近五十年我國的教育史研究作量化分析，發現如下：一、數量上，近五十年的論著，至少有1017種；領域以中國教育史最多，其他依序是外國教育史、台灣教育史、教育史學。二、研究主題，以「思想與人物」類最多，「制度與政策」類居次，「通論」與「運動與活動」則少。三、論著出版形式，以期刊論文最多，學位論文 (碩士為主) 居次，專書最少。出版時間，六個時期中，以1981-1990年最多。1950年代起漸增，至1980年代達頂峰，後下降。近四年再增且超過 1991-98年。四、研究時間，中國教育史較重古代，唯前期以春秋戰國最多，宋居次；近四年以宋最多，隋唐五代居次。台灣教育史以近代最多，現代居次。西洋教育史以近、現代為主，至於主題則均以「思想與人物」類最多。

The main purpose of this paper is to inquire the development of the Study of History of Education in Taiwan in the past fifty years by quantitative approach. The main findings are as follows: 1. As to the sum of the publication, there were at least 1017 articles, books master theses and doctoral dissertations being published. 2. As to the field of study, the sum of publication of History of Chinese Education were most, and next were that of History of Western Education 3. As to the research theme, the sum of the topics about 'great thinkers and their thoughts' was most, and next were 'institutions and policies'. 4. As to the form of publication, the number of article was most, and next was thesis. 5. As to the time of publication, the sum of the publication during the period of 1981-1990 were most, and after that the numbers decreased, but it has risen again recently. 6. As to the research period, Chinese education focused on ancient history, especially War Time (770-205 B.C.) and Sung, while western education focused on the modem and contemporary history. Some suggestions as to educational historians, area, topic and methodology are made for further study.
