Abstract
霍爾斯特的《降E大調第一組曲為軍樂隊》作品二十八第一號創作於二十世紀初的1909年,雖至今寫作動機仍然不明,但還是毫無疑問地被認定為管樂團曲目中的基石,每年仍在全世界數百場音樂會中被演出,也是二十世紀最具影響力的管樂合奏作品之一。
目前,文獻上對於此作品的研究,多數是歷史的脈絡、樂曲的分析,以及版本上配器的差異(僅限於1984年以前的版本),但對於指揮詮釋上並沒有太多的探討。因此,本篇論文筆者將從指揮者的角度來探討,再深入研究至今各版本間的差異性,並提出樂譜演出實踐上的問題,進而對於音樂呈現上有更多的瞭解,期望能更貼近作曲家所想表達的原始樂思,最終整合歸納提出筆者對於指揮詮釋上的看法。
Gustav Holst’s “The First Suite in E-flat for Military Band, Op. 28 No. 1” was composed in the 1909 early 20th century. Although the reason why he wrote the piece is still unknown, this work is considered one of the cornerstone masterworks in the wind band repertoire, and has been performed in hundreds of concerts around the world every year. It is also one of the most influential pieces of the 20th century. Currently, most of the research on this work in the literature is concern about the history of the context, the analysis of the music, and the differences in the version of the orchestration (only before the 1984 version), but there are not much discussions on the conducting interpretation. Therefore, this thesis will be illustrated from the perspective of the conductor, and then the author will deeply compare the differences between the versions, and point out the problems in the performance practice, and then state more understanding of the music presentation, hopefully this thesis could be more closer to the original music which the composer wants to express. Finally to integrate and present the author's views on the conducting interpretation.
